With the 3.91 a31 axle package, manulal 4 speed transmission and manual steering, this car is a true stripped down stop light bruiser from back in the day with one of the wildest colors to ever show up on an American muscle car. Up for auction is this rare 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 4 speed that presents itself as a nice driver. This car does not have a single part that is in perfect condition but is a very solid real deal muscle car that you can drive right now and fix a few items to continue its very clean status. Rustfree with the exception of the lower corner of the passenger door, the duster has had new amd quarter panels and tail panel professionally welded in. At the same time a rustfree trunk floor was cut out of a valiant and welded in. With a very straight body, the car was repainted in its original rare color of gy3 curious yellow and looks great driving down the road but upon very close inspection you will notice check marks on the hood, and a run or two on the quarter panels. Sharktooth grille is painted silver and duster originally had the black tail stripe which has not yet been added. Bumpers have some light surface rust and the glass is very clean except the rear has kitty scratches and drivers door has a chip. The 340 has never had any major work and still runs strong but could use a rebuild on the carburetor. The duster also comes with the original 71 thermoquad carb in the trunk that is very hard to find that could also use a rebuild. Hp manifolds have new tti head pipes but the rest of the exhaust will need replaced and continued out the back at some point. Manual front disc brakes stop excellent and front suspension bushings have been replaced. Transmission has had a recent new clutch added and flywheel resurfaced and also comes with the original flywheel. The 3.91 gear suregrip winds up quick like its supposed to with the original half inch wider 340 steel wheels and bf Goodrich 235s that have 80% tread left. The dash pad is very nice but original seats could use new covers. All exterior lights and blinkers work except reverse lights. Wipers and radio works, windshield squirters need to be hooked up. Speedo gauge bounces and alternator gauge works but other gauges are not currently working. If someone hits the buy in now price I will purchase a new circuit board for them which should remedy the gauge malfunctions. This duster is a blast to drive and gets a lot of attention wherever it goes. Fix a few things and keep enjoying it or have a very solid start to a show car that no one else will have.
