THIS IS A 5 DAY NO RESERVE AUCTION - THE HIGHEST BIDDER GETS THE CAR Absolute beautiful 1956 Pontiac Star Chief 2 door Hardtop Coupe for auction. The car underwent a frame off restoration around 3 years ago. The job was done professionally and the Star Chief is in stunning condition. I will try to describe her as honest as I can and to the best of my knowledge. Exterior: The paint is flawless. There is no orange peel, waves, or other defects. 90% of the exterior chrome is new and the other 10% are in very good condition. All glass is good - no cracks. Also very impressive is the body. She is super straight and I couldn't find any bondo in the entire body - see photos (magnet). The gaps are all looking good. The hood ornament is lightning up. The engine compartment looks like new. The trunk also. She just looks show ready and there is very minor to no wear or tear. Interior: The whole interior was redone. It looks new without any cracks, rips, stains, etc. There are some newer gauges in the dashboard that gives the new driver a better control over the car. There is really nothing really to say besides that the interior looks stunning. Mechanics: I drove the car for around 200 miles and it is just a pleasure to drive it. There is no overheating, or wired sounds. The engine is a 400 big block Pontiac engine. As far as I know is the transmission the 350 Turbo automatic. It is a pleasure to drive the car. Undercarriage: Very clean and solid. Everything is new underneath the car as you would expect from a car that was frame off restored. What does it need? - the car has the wrong steering wheel. - the chrome piece around the speedometer needs to be rechromed - I guess they forgot it - the gas gauge and speedometer are currently not working - the windshield wiper motors are missing Other than that the car is in show room condition. I bought this car recently to take my family out for weekend cruises but unfortunately the car won't fit in our garage and I am not planing to pay $300 for storage fees a month. Also I am not leaving the car sitting outside in the Florida rain - I have to much respect for classic cars - especially a car in this beautiful condition. Do you have a clean title? Yes I do.
