This auction is for a 1949 5 window pickup - complete It has been in my family since 1950. In 1974 I pulled it out of our barn and began restoring it as a high school project so I could drive it to school. Once I got it running and rebuilt the brakes so they would work, I painted it primer black, and hit road. In 1982, I parked it and have not driven it since. Doors latches, locks, and hinges, open and close very soundly. Hood opens and latches very soundly as well. It wouldn t take much to put this pickup back on the road. (tires, Battery, and check out the brakes would get it back on the road) The primer black has all but faded off, however other than that it’s still a complete pickup, and in pretty good shape for being parked for 30 years. The body is pretty much straight except for a dent in the lower rear fender above the running board (see Picture). The left rear fender will need some work to smooth out as well. And, as on most old pickups like this, the 4 lower corners of the cab are rusted out and will need replacement panels installed. The tires are pretty rotten as well.
