I am selling a bunch of stuff I just bought from a retiring rider. He spent a lot of time in Europe and I believe some of his bikes were not available in the US. I'm not a Maico expert but here goes!! So I believe what I have in this auction now is: a 1981 Maico GS 490/T Enduro bikeVery original bike which has been sitting largely unridden since the late 80'sOriginal Magura levers with a brake light switch on the front brake - never seen thatOriginal seat with some minor repairsOriginal gold anodized Akront green label rimsLooks to be the original exhaust system with MAICO embossed on the silencer - I've never seen a pipe like this one beforeNice Ohlins rear shocks - not sure if they were original but certainly the best you could get back in the day Looks to be the original gas tank with the most of the factory warning decal still on it The engine number is GT2520124. The frame number is 2510132Fork tubes are very nice with no signs or wear and essentially no marks at all. Missing one of the fork tube cap nuts Still has the original center stand so you can remove the wheels easilyTons of compression but I have not yet tried to start it Original Maico hubs this is a very rare vintage enduro bike that is ready to restore or clean it up and ride it as is Original air filter chamber appears intack. Compression release. Whirlpool throttle complete overall original condition Sold with a bill of sale as these race bikes usually don't have titles.Too complete to part it out - hoping that someone wants a really rare endure bike to ride or restore. My understanding is these Enduro bikes are worth a ton when restored so here is your chance to get going!!
