Vehicle Detail

1977 Chevy El Camino Classic with only 39,450 original miles. Rare model. Super easy restore project. Great car for a collector. All original factory, 350 (5.7 L), 4 barrel, 175 hp V-8, 3 speed turbo hydramatic transmission. This model is the largest El Camino body style ever made (73-77). And it came factory loaded. Check out the original rectangular stacked headlights with huge grill looks like a big Cadillac front end, very cool. High-back bucket seats, driver side seat swivels out. Interior is tan, with woodgrain, very nice condition. Sliding glass rear window. Original owners manual. These options are hard to find. Vinyl roof is tan color to match interior. Automatic shifter in woodgrain center console. Factory air-conditioning, tilt steering wheel. Upscale Classic trim package is better than the SS package. Chrome bed rail trim. Original baby moons with beauty rings on wheels. Air-lift rear shocks. If you like El Caminos, this one’s the best for a lot of reasons. Drives like new, everything works. Grandpa’s car. He got it from the original owner. CAR IS LOCATED IN SACRAMENTO CA. On Sep-30-13 at 21:42:54 PDT, seller added the following information: One bidder asked for more detailed pictures of the slight sun damage to the dash board. I added also pictures of under the hood, the inside of the bed, the glove box including original owners manual, the sliding rear window, and inside the door frames. Everything is in such good condition. This car could be put back into showroom condition fairly easily. There is no rust on the vehicle. The damage to the dashboard can be repaired. It is discolored in the one spot about 4 inches in the middle on top. The vinyl in the corner by the instrument panel is pulled away where the adhesive let go. But there are no cracks. It is not brittle. It is still in good shape. The small discoloration could easily be airbrushed. Another bidder asked for more of the vehicle history. Here it is. The car was originally bought by a Chevy dealer in eastern Washington for his son, who was in high school. When the son went away to college out of state the car was put into storage in a barn. It was in storage for over 30 years when my Dad saw it and bought it from the original owner. My brother drove it for a few months and then my Dad gave it to me about a year ago. I have not been driving it much. We are trying to buy a house right now so I got permission from my Dad to sell his car. I wish I could keep it.
