This is an original 1979 Silver Corvette with the rare and desirable optional 225hp L-82 engine and 4 speed manual transmission. The mileage of 62,269 on the odometer we believe is correct. It is nicely optioned with;L-82 engine M21 close ratio 4 speed transmission Air Conditioning Power windows Power door locks AM/FM radio with cassette Tilt/telescopic steering column Removable glass T-Tops Aluminum wheels This is a mechanically well maintained car. The front end was recently repaired with new ball joints, springs and shocks. The brakes have been checked in our shop and 2 new calipers were installed everything else was fine. The car starts, runs, drives and stops like it should. The transmission shifts easily and it is fun to drive. Most of the paint appears to be original. It is a good driver quality paint that looks nice from 10 feet. The body shows no signs of any major repairs and the frame is very solid with the only the typical surface rust of a 34 year old car. The interior is original and looks good. There is a small tear in the driver’s side lower cushion on the seam. The carpet, door panels, and dash pad are still in good condition. The polished aluminum wheels are in very good condition and the Goodyear tires are the correct size P255/60R15 and have a lot of tread remaining. The T Tops although not original to this car are the correct blue M1131 laminated, the driver’s side T-Top has 10 inch crack that can be seen from the interior but does not show on the exterior the date code is YA (Oct 79). The passenger side date code is LZ (Mar 80) Look at the pictures to see this better. The optional front spoiler is not installed but comes with the car it is in good condition and only needs painting as can be seen in the pictures. This is a highly desirable L82 4 speed Corvette that you can enjoy just the way it is or take it to the next level if and when you want. The winning bidder has 24 hours to contact us with their non-refundable deposit of $1000 or up to 10% of the winning bid price, and to make and arrange final payment including applicable fees and taxes within 5 business days. Vehicles will not be available for pick-up or shipping until full payment is received and cleared by our local bank.
