The Story Behind it All: Failed visual on smog, a new vehicle was purchased, and this one was put to pasture. Great little car, but it has served it's purpose. Runs and drives very nicely. On Oct-24-13 at 23:55:29 PDT, seller added the following information:BIDDERS PLEASE READ - POTENTIAL CONFUSION I was not aware of the potential confusion over the registration status and no tag until an interested party brought it to my attention. This car is being sold AS-IS. The car's registration fees were paid with the belief the smog issue was going to be fixed. In the 6 months it has been parked, the money saved for car repairs was redirected and used as the down payment for a new car. Because the Kia sat unrepaired to pass smog, no tag was ever issued. It is not currently street legal despite the fact it runs and drives very nicely. Upper and lower oxygen sensors were replaced in high hopes of a cheap fix which didn't work out, so it continued sitting. Smog guy said catalytic converter probably needs to be replaced. Muffler guy said $1600. It sat for 6 months virtually untouched, so it was taken to the car wash and listed on eBay.
