Up for auction is a nice driver quality 1962 Galaxie 500 2 door hardtop. The Galaxie features a 352 2V engine and 3 speed manual transmission. It starts right up and runs great, shifts smoothly, and stops quickly. The power steering works wonderfully, no arm strong steering here. The car is very mechanically sound. It has had the radiator re-cored, recent tune up, newer clutch and flywheel, and the rear end has been gone through as well. The exterior of the car is nice. Paint is smooth and shiny. It has had some amateur body-work so the rear quarters are not as straight as I would like them for a long black car. It has a couple of small dings here and there but nothing major. Overall the outside of the car presents itself well and could be taken to any weekend hot rod show and have a lot of fun with it. The interior of the car is new and very nice. New carpet, seat upholstery, head liner, and door panels. It still needs a dome light cover but that is it inside the car. All of the glass is good and they roll up and down as they should. The chrome is in mostly original shape. The front bumper has been re-chromed and the rest is factory original. The rear bumper is in need of some attention. It has a couple of pulled spots on the bottom. The tires are in almost new condition and its exhaust is also nearly new. It is a single standard exhaust.
