Vehicle Detail
1990 Jeep Wrangler originally a 4 cylinder 5 speed manual converted to a Chevy 307 carbureted V8 with a TH400 Turbo Automatic transmission with shift kit. It has a 3 inch body lift, five 33 inch tires mounted on five Ultra wheels, Lokar (clone) braided metal flexible transmission dipstick, side steps, solid rear billet bumperettes and a B&M shifter. The brakes were flushed and 1 rear brake slave cylinder was replaced at Sears approximately two weeks ago. The oil and filter are less than 1 month old. The battery is a recent Interstate battery (a few months old). The body is not rusty (except for a few small surface spots where paint chipped over the years) and the paint shines up well. Heat works well. Please note that this Jeep is set up as 2 WHEEL DRIVE right now. The front differential is still on the Jeep but if you want 4 wheel drive you would have to install a transfer case. I do not have the transfer case because it was not included with sale when I bought the Jeep. Also the engine and transmission conversion were done prior to me and the last owner and have been in the Jeep for years. Aside from knowing which engine and transmission combo are in it by speaking with the previous owner, I have no other details. The gas tank and sending unit are said to be about 1 and a half years old. The torque convertor was also replaced by the previous owner within six months of that as well. The gas gauge, speedometer and voltage meter all work. The Bad: The seats could use covers, there is a small leak from the from the auxiliary transmission cooler line (perhaps an O-ring or maybe it needs to be tightened?). It drips enough to be noticeable. The tachometer and temperature gauge are not hooked up. I started to buy parts but did not complete the project. The parts that I purchased convey with sale. The interior rear view mirror is loose. The trim for the B&M shifter still needs to be put on (I liked the mechanical look so I left it off). The stereo speakers need to be hooked up. It needs mufflers. There are a set on the car right now but they are loud. Summit Racing sells mufflers for $29 each (you need two if you plan to keep the dual exhaust setup). The odometer states 13X.XXX miles but the drivetrain in the Jeep has around 100,000 miles on it. So the true mileage is "unknown." Extras Included: Hard Top, Full Doors, Zippered Windows Uppers, New Seal Kit for hardtop, Bikini Top, Thermostat Cover with Bung for GM style temperature sensor, and possibly some other things I am not thinking of right now… Clean and Clear title. This Jeep is currently tagged, insured, runs and drives but needs to be finished. I would consider this a project Jeep (sorry that was to make sure I scare away any potential dreamers imagining a like new vehicle). This Jeep is a used vehicle so please expect it to have flaws. This vehicle is sold “AS IS” “WHERE IS” with no warranty implied or given. I have done my best to describe all the flaws that came to mind but if I missed something it was unintentional and will not negate sale. My wife says I have too many projects and would like me to sell a few of my vehicles. Here’s your chance for a cheap Jeep that has already had a lot of modifications done to it. If you have questions please do not hesitate to ask.On Oct-11-13 at 15:27:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added pictures of the frame due to requests from potential bidders. Also please not that if the Jeep is bought using "Buy it Now" and you do not want the hardtop, full doors and the slider windows I will rebate $400. You will get the Jeep with zippered windows, half doors, convertible top (that is on it in the pictures) as well as a Bikini top. The other extras mentioned in the ad will still convey. I was asked what other things I would do if I were to keep it. I would upgrade the radiator ($150 on eBay), put in new plugs and wires, and hook up the temp gauge at a minimum. I want to be clear. This is a solid project. Although the Jeep seems to run and drive fine it needs work to perfect. I only underscore this because of some of the questions I have been getting. Happy bidding. On Oct-11-13 at 20:50:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: I guessed the mileage when I was at the Motor vehicle department. That's why the mileage on the title is higher than on the odometer right now. Sorry I thought I had mentioned that earlier.
