Vehicle Detail
Car has sat for 8 months. Ran well when parked. We don't need it anymore. I used it in winter to get around. Car has hit several deer and came out fighting. You will have to make or buy a header pipe. I built the last one 15 years ago. With a new battery and muffler this car would be a good winter beater. Tires are at 20%. On Oct-04-13 at 11:17:39 PDT, seller added the following information: New discription; Charged battery, started car. Drove car around for a while, including at 65 MPH for 10 miles. I had forgotten how good a Subaru this is. Replaced front parking light, got it out of box of spare parts that comes with car. Car runs great, drives great, brakes great. 4x4, 5 speed tranni works great, clutch great. New radiator two years ago, new timing belt 40K miles ago. Tires at 20%, windshield cracked and will need a new battery. Everything works but AC. I am starting to have second thoughts about selling this. On Oct-06-13 at 10:07:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked if this Subaru could drive to Utah. Yes, I think so, but remember; No Muffler, and the head pipe needs replacing! It's loud enough to wake the dead. On Oct-09-13 at 09:47:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Hey guys, I see it's listed as a 2.4 liter TBI. No, it's an 1.8 liter PFI. My bad. That's the only engine for this model. The big deal is NO Turbo. You don't want a turbo, the trade off is more horse power and less engine life. My wife bought this car new, right before our marriage. I told her: "no turbo, stick shift, crank windows, 4x4 and AC, pay cash". It's been a good car for us. I will hold the car if it's paid for, you can drive it home, but it's very noisy. Also, it hasn't been in a long distance drive for a few years. I drove it to work (50 minutes) several times last winter. It drove well, but I think you would be better to tow it. I does have a front tow rig that comes with the car. If you have a vehicle with a hitch ball you can tow this car home. On Oct-09-13 at 10:08:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Check out the last pic, it's of the tow hitch that goes with the car. You can tow this car behind anything. The tow hitch is in perfect, if dirty condition. I think the wood bees have been pooping on it.
