This 1972 914 has been meticulously restored by Renegade Hybrids, the innovators of the Porsche V-8 conversion kit. The Porsche Fuch rims have been powder coated to match the white exterior of the car. It has only 19,101 miles on the new engine, transmission, suspension, and axles. The interior and exterior of this vehicle are in excellent condition. This 914 V-8 conversion was featured in Hot Rod magazine for the purpose of displaying the innovations and craftsmanship of Renegade Hybrids. The 5.7 L V-8 has 340 HP and is supported by a Porsche 930 turbo transmission, 930 suspension, 930 brakes and 930 axles. The car also features a custom fit full cage roll bar that goes from the front suspension of the vehicle to the rear suspension. This roll cage performs two functions, first, it protects the driver and second, it stiffens the entire car allowing it to better manage the increased power and torque from the small block V-8. The shifter is a Porsche cable shift design that is used on all current Porsche models. The radiator features dual electric fans that are sure to keep the engine cool on even the hottest days. Stainless steel headers and exhaust have been custom made. Simpson harnesses and Koenig racing seats highlight the interior of this car. Even though this car's design is centered around speed, it is comfortable, easy and fun to drive. It never lacks power no matter what gear you're in. This car weighs only 2300 lbs with a near perfect 50/50 weight distribution. Cars of this caliber rarely find their way to market.
