I recently got this Clasic 1955 Triumph TR2 from a neighbor that had great hopes to restore it . Unfortunately he recently had knee surgery and is not able to work on it. The car was dissasembled to begin the restoration process and is now in boxes. The main body is in pretty good shape overall but does have some light rust repairs that were glassed over. I have done an inventory of items and the main items missing is the front bumper and rear bumperettes, the tac and several gauges which the owner believes he has and is trying to locate them. It comes with a clear title and is on non-op status in California. There is an extra set of wire wheels, a spare transmission, a new convertible top cover, and new brake shoes. This would be a great restoration project for someone to enjoy. I believe most parts are still available thru moss motors or british victoria. Good luck bidding!On Oct-02-13 at 06:54:01 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note- It has been brought to my attention that the motor listed with this car - Eng # TS15488E is from a late 50's TR3 (two or three years after end of TR2 production). Based on the commision number and body number this TR2 was produced in 1954 and probably sold in 1955. Somebody with more knowledge then myself has pointed this out to me in an email after I sent him pictures of all vin plates and motor number.
