1991 Ford Crown Victoria California Highway Patrol This is an original California Highway Patrol Car (CHP unit number 8849). I purchased this car back in 2005 from a Police Car Dealer down in Concord CA with fresh paint and some CHP equipment installed. Based on information from them, this car is CHP unit 8849. After CHP service it went to Napa Valley Community College Police and was painted all white and served them till it went to the Concord CA Dealer where it was returned to black and white. I sourced decals, more equipment and did a bunch of mechanical items to get the car more or less complete and safe to drive. This car has not been a trailer queen, its been a driver and has logged a number of miles. And as such likely shows some of the battle scars of miles and age such as chipped paint and minor dings etc. When I received the car it came with the typical non working odometer at 145K, so I replaced with a used that I had that was still functioning, this year that odometer has since died as well. The car was sold to me as mileage EXEMPT from CA so I was not overly concerned about accurate mileage. I would guess the car has around 155-160K. This car was driven to many shows and events all over New England. It has also been several times to the NYC Police Museum Show, Verona NJ Cops and Rodders show, one trip out to Ford Nationals at Carlisle where it was on display in the Invitational Display and one time out to the Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle show. Car is in Good overall condition and Runs and Drives well. Vehicle has been well maintained and has had to pass New Hampshire Sate Inspection every year since I have owned it. Vehicle is only used in the summer months and has been Garage Stored year round. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Car comes with all the equipment that is shown in and on the car and also includes the metal aftermarket California License plates. I believe this to be a pretty accurate looking restoration, with much of the correct and or correct style of equipment in the right places minus some extremely hard to find items.
