I have an estate to go through still so there are a bunch more auctions to come.Uncut “Numbers Matching” Restoration. Disk brakes, PS, low miles U15GLN05732. Vin tags are intact in the original locations on glove box door and door jamb. This stunning looking 1972 Ford Bronco just went through 7 months of cosmetic restoration, repainted in the correct factory color. There are under 20 miles on the items listed as new (paint/int,etc). I can’t keep track of how many compliments and thumbs up I have received on it. Odometer current reading is 91,500, believed to be original mileage. Original owners manual from 1972 included. It has been equipped with disk brakes, dual shocks at all four wheels, adjustable air spring suspension in front, a NoSpin differential (“Detroit Locker”), factory power steering, and was upgraded to a Hurst floor shift conversion. The data tag indicates that the differential gearing is 3.50:1. Front axle is the heavy duty Dana 44. Front end “C-Bushings” and “Radius arm bushings” have been replaced. Suspension is not “lifted.” Engine - 302 V8, sticker on valve cover indicates 1972 original engine. 2 barrel carb on cast iron intake manifold. Dual exhaust, headers. Smooth idle. New battery Clutch feels great with quick engagement. 3 speed transmission Dana 20 4x4 transfer case, stock shifter with T handle 9” rear axle with gusseted supports welded to housing New Copper/Hot Ginger paint (not orange) New 2 stage high gloss, color sanded and buffed PPG urethane with clear coat. (solvent, not water based). As you can see, the paint has a lot of reflection, you can see a picket fence in one of the shots. The color is the correct (hence the numbers matching comment in title, plus coded engine sticker 1972) code Z Light Copper Metallic or Hot Ginger Poly as it is also commonly known. Interior floors were prepped and sprayed with Herculiner spray on bedliner. Dash was painted to match exterior color, all jambs were painted. Hood underside was painted with matching base color. Spare tire rack and mounting brackets painted in matching color, included (**not pictured, will be installed next week). License plate frame (**) painted in matching color. Grill refinished silver. During the paint process, many panels & parts were removed (body panels prepped for paint separately), including the hood, fenders, grill, tailgate, doors, spare tire rack, hard top, trim, all glass, lights, light buckets. Rust was removed, some new panels were installed where needed (front floors, rocker panels).
