Vehicle Detail
1982 Chevrolet 1 ton 4 door dually 4x4 offered up for sale. I bought this truck about 3 months ago from an auction when I worked for a used car dealer. It was at the auction and I just had to have it. It is a clean AR title and the title will show it being sold by a dealer. I just wanted to clear that up from the beginning. So back to the truck, it runs and drives, but I do not deem it safe to drive at all. I had my friend drive it to my house from the auction and it didn’t smoke at all and tracked down the road straight. He said the front end was tight and shifted smoothly. Once it was at my house I looked at it a lot closer. I will put the flaws of the truck at the end. It looks like it originally had a 454 in it and auto trans because the column is from an automatic. It CURRENTLY has a 350 small block from the best of my knowledge that has an Edelbrock intake, carburetor, and valve covers. Runs very well and starts up every time if the battery is strong. If it sits over a week or so you have to pump the gas a couple times, but that’s common for a carbureted motor. 4 Speed granny low transmission with a Hurst shift knob in worn condition. NP205 transfer case?? that is kind of like a divorced transfer case. It has 2H 4H 4Lo N on the transfer case, not entirely in that order but not full time 4x4. It has dual exhaust to mufflers that are dumped before the axle. Aftermarket steering wheel that is a 3 spoke chrome. It has red interior. I originally got it with no back seat and the front seat was from a Dodge. I have semi matching red bench seats in it now. The back seat isn’t bolted down at all and the front seat is only bolted in the front two holes and the back two don’t line up yet. I think you can just bend the bracket down, but I haven’t ventured to do anything yet. Carpet is there but only in fair shape. Headliner is missing completely and the door panels are rough. It has power windows on all 4 doors and they do not work. Haven’t messed with it. All the windows are up except the front passenger which is almost all the way down. I have put a trash bag over it when it’s rained and have kept most of the water out. The truck originally was some sort of white color it looks like and was painted black at some time. Wasn’t the best paint job, but it could be worse. Rust on the driver’s side rocker panel. Mainly in the rear door area. Can send pictures to show it. It has some damage to the passenger’s dually flare as well. Can show that as well. It has the normal dents and dings, but fairly rust free. It has lockout hubs and aloca aluminum 16 inch wheels with good tires all the way around. 4 aluminum wheels and 2 steel wheels in the inner dually wheels. The front tires are weather checked some. It has a large chrome back bumper and a gooseneck plate in the bed. 91 Suburban front end conversion. All the lights work correctly and most of the gauges work. The oil gauge is a little goofy and so is the volts. It has dual tanks but it does not have the switch, so I have no clue what tank it is running off of. It has a carpet overlay on the dash. Ok so to the major downfalls of the truck. The radiator is held on with two bungy cords. The driver’s side motor mount bolt is out about 3 or 4 inches. Haven’t checked the passenger’s side. The major thing that has kept me from driver it, is the clutch cable spring is a bungy cord as well. I don’t know how it is suppose to work, so I have not tackled changing it. I took about 50 pictures today, so I can send them all to any interested parties. I just don’t want to pay to put them on eBay. I have tried to describe this truck to the best of my knowledge. I have the right to end the auction early at any moment. I am selling this truck because I have bought 3 other trucks that have taken president on this one. My plan was to do a Cummins conversion and turn it into a tow rig, but funds are shy and I hate to just see it sit. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
