Up for grabs is my 1959 VW beetle, this is an original euro model with semaphore turn signals(recently rebuilt!), this is a numbers matching body and pan (still has its original pans in great shape!!)it still has the correct front and rear aprons for the euro model(no over rider holes), it has its original 4 tab hood (trim, emblem, and badge holes have been filled), original doors, decklid is not original but is the correct style for the car, I do have the original decklid as well(tag light has been "frenched in"). The fenders are not original to the car but are period correct original german fenders aside from the drivers side front fender which is an original 64 model fender(no headlight wire tube). The car is equipped with a 5" narrowed punch-drunk airbag beam with CB Performance drop spindles and front disc brakes. The rear has 4.5" drop spring plates from the.dub.lab and a drum to drum 67 transmission and axles( perfect for running 17x7 wheels!!)The wheels are factory vw smoothies with Continental 145/65/15's on the front and Continental 185/65/15's on the rear. The engine is not original to the car but it was built the same month as what i believe was the original engine for the car, it is a freshly rebuilt 36hp with a Bosch 019 blue screamer distributor, small case 12v generator(also has 12v conversion starter) and a nos 52-55 style single tip exhaust. Car comes with all new TMI interior panels, seat covers and seat pads (front seats have not been installed), Wolfsburg West carpet kit, TMI Headliner (not installed), and Wolfsburg West rubber floor and tunnel mats. The passengers seat has some sort of recliner installed that does not function as it should however I have another seat back that will go with the car. The car has pop out rear quarter windows, all other glass is intact but the front windshield does have a crack (happened while installing a brand new windshield) The body is suprisingly rust free for it's age, there are a few area's in the inner fender areas that were repaired by the previous owner as well as a spot on the bottom of the passengers side rear quarter panel but the work was done the right way, unfortunately when he fixed the cars few rust areas he also filled the body trim holes (I planned to re-drill the holes to be able to use the body trim), the heater channels and other problem areas these cars are known for are all in good shape, the only real body damage is to the drivers side rear quarter panel (see last pic) the paint shop that i planned to use said labor would probably be close to the same for fixing the quarter or cutting out and replacing it (i have an original 59 quarter panel that will be included). This car has been my project for the past 2 years (I have spent most of the time collecting original parts!!) and it will not take much work to complete, the brakes need to be bled, and voltage droppers installed on the semaphores, and the carb tuned to be drive-able. I have a clear title in my name, and the car has gone through the NC inspection process for antique automobiles. Feel to free to contact me with any questions you may have .
