Unfortunately up for sale is my 1971 Chevelle SS 454 clone. HAVING A BABY. It has a 454 big block in it (no not original), TH350 automatic transmission and 12 bolt posi rear. I am going to try and describe this as best as I can but please understand that I am not a mechanic nor a body shop guy so here it goes… Exterior: Blue with the black SS stripes. The sheet metal all looks very nice. There are no holes, rust or rot on the exterior panels. I am guessing that it was redone at some point but don’t know when or to what extent. All I do know is that the rear quarters were redone. The floors seem pretty solid but again it’s a 71 and that’s some old metal. The trunk seems to have been patched before I owned it but it does the trick. The inner front fenders are new and have the tags still on them. I do know that the radiator support looks to be original and has seen better days but it holds up just fine. Interior: Seats are really nice. Headliner looks new. Dash appears to be original and pad has a couple of cracks. Carpet is newer. Has brand new Mega shifter mounted on the floor between the buckets. Was a column shift car. Radio I had installed is a Kenwood CD with new dash speakers and rear deck speakers. I had windows tinted for looks. It is an original air conditioning car but the air its disconnected. I have the parts for it. Engine: Chevy Big Block 454. Has Edelbrock carb and intake. Obviously has headers. Sounds really nice and tons of torque and power... Trans: Was professionally rebuilt stronger by Good Deal trans in Hammonton, NJ with all new internals. Had a Trans go street kit installed and a 2500 stall too. Shifts incredible... Suspension: Car handles awesome with the upgraded suspension, wheel and tire combo and steering. front of car is 1" lower than stock. I have the other new springs also. *** This is the car you take to shows and cruise nights and occassionally burn up the tires and run it without stressing over it being a show car trailer queen... this is a super fun car. What I have had replaced since owning it: 1. Rear from 1972 Chevelle with 3:31 gears $900 2. UMI Performance suspension (sway bars and rear suspension) $1500 3. Boss wheels 18" with 7" front 245/45 and 8"rear with 275/40 Nitto tires $1400 4. Transmission total rebuild, kit, torque convertor, and floor shift conversion $2600 5. Power disc brakes conversion kit $600 6. Steering box and lines $300 7. Flowmaster exhaust 2.5” to chrome tips $500 8. Stereo and tint $700 9. High Torque starter $200 10. B&M Mega floor shifter $250 11. T/A differential cover $140 That’s around $9000 in what I can remember that I have had done to it in the past 10 months and it doesn't include most of the labor… THAT does not include what I paid for it.
