Up for sale is a 1959 Edsel Ranger 2-door hardtop with 28,456 original miles. The car was sold new at the local Edsel dealer in Alexandria, Louisiana and purchased by a gentleman in Shreveport, Louisiana. The car was owned by this family until 2007 when a family friend purchased the car. I am the third owner. The car is finished in Talisman Red (Pink) and Snow White accent trim. The paint is original and is in excellent condition and shows extremely well for original FoMoCo paint from 1959. The car is optioned with the 292 cu in. V-8 engine, 2 bbl carb, automatic transmission, am radio, and original Frigi-king dealer installed air conditioner. The interior is in original condition including the door panels and carpet with Edsel embossed foot pad, and all original dash. All gauges work perfectly and the dealer installed air conditioner blows ice cold. The air conditioner was recently retrofitted to run on modern 134a refrigerant. The car carries its original Goodyear wide white wall spare tire and original jack and tire changing tool. The car has been fitted with brand new Coker wide white wall bias ply tires and has the original Edsel hubcaps in immaculate condition. This car is a true time capsule and ownership history and mileage history has been verified from dealer delivery in Alexandria, Louisiana until present. Engine compartment is totally correct and highly detailed. The mechanics of the car has been thoroughly gone through. All original chrome and stainless trim is in very good condition. Undercarriage still retains the original FoMoCo factory undercoating and door jambs retain the original FoMoCo markings and weatherstrip adhesive application.
