Celebrating it's silver anniversary this Silver Spur is a great example of a quality, hand built luxurious coach and how proper maintenance and care can preserve a vehicle. Purchased at Terry York Motor Cars in Encino Ca, this Rolls has resided in California since new. Based on current condition, comments from previous owner and visual inspection the vehicle was/is non-smoker owned, always garaged, most likely chauffeur driven from new until 1999, (rear seats show more wear than front passenger) and was professionally maintained. Originally priced at over $120,000 ($238,000 in 2013 dollars) there is no doubt this sedan was a prized possession of it's owners. Due to first owner's passing the vehicle was sold in 1999 and has since accumulated an additional 14,869 miles in 14 years. This Spur has a clean carfax and clear title. Cosmetically, the "Spur" is finished in Colbalt Blue (Rolls Royce (FTA) 9510459) with a slightly lighter blue vinyl top (Everflex 5470 DH) and a combination of cream and dark blue interior (Parchment Hide #A3672 & Dark Blue Pipiing # VM4133). Body & paint on the Rolls Royce are in great to excellent condition overall. Chrome surfaces are immaculate. There are no indications the car has had any major accident damage or partial repainting. Of course, as is true with virtually all vehicles of this vintage, the "Rolls" does have a few minor imperfections (scratches on the door edges and minor "dings"). Worst of exterior imperfections is edge of drivers door, (see pics). The Everflex roof has no rips, tears or blistering but is showing some sun exposure discoloration. Lack of major damage is supported by the Car Fax report that shows a totally clear history and no signs of accidents, odometer rollback, theft, flood or other damage / problems. This car shows NO signs of exterior rust. Interior is fantastic with the high quality wood trim and appointments (including rear "picnic" tables") that make the Silver Spur uniquely opulent. The interior is in very nice condition. The leather seating surfaces (hides) show use, (more so in the rear) but the seats are free from rips and tears. The wood shows only minimal imperfections in a few areas but overall very nice condition. The carpet is in excellent condition and retains the original Rolls Royce high quality factory floor mats overlaid with super luxurious "Bentley"lamb skin rugs. All cabin appointments are in working condition, such as lights, seat controls, window controls, mirror controls etc. The vintage Motorola Cellular phone is installed and is said to be in working condition but I have no way to verify it. A Sony MEX-BT3800U CD player was installed recently but face plate is missing, however, original Rolls Royce specified tuner with tape player is included but not installed. Mechanically the Rolls appears to be in excellent condition. Service records over the past few years show general maintenance but no major issues reported. The sedan starts, drives, shifts as it should. Both temperature and oil gauges operate in optimal range and air conditioner circulates frigid air. Braking is confident and firm with new front brakes installed within the last few thousand miles. The car is a solid driver, it tracks straight with a ride like butter and handles surprisingly well for a 6,000lb vehicle.
