pittsburgh_clockshop Store Approximately 219,000 miles. This car has been mechanically maintained and serviced on a regular basis. The timing belt (along with the tensioners & water pump) were changed at just past 205,000 miles. At the last inspection the front brakes were replaced along with the axles and a ball joint (less than 100 miles ago). The radiator was replaced with an all aluminum (no plastic) higher capacity unit, because the factory one was not quickly available (this was several years ago), this is a much better than factory unit that should last a lifetime (distilled water was always used as the mix). As shown both rear fender wheel lips need repaired (western PA rust issue), along with various parking lot damages that need minor attention. In general this car needs body work and painted, the original color was a pearl like purple/black, (it was painted gloss black about 5 years ago). Both the engine light and the traction control lights are on. The EGR is the engine code which has not effected mpg or drivability in any way (it has been on for about 2 years). The traction light has been on for many years & the local dealer could not figure out why. I have never had any problem with traction in the rain or snow (it engaged just fine). Also shown, the driver side mirror glass needs replaced (a wide angle one is in it's place) if a standard one is desired. There is an slow oil drip, and has been for many years with no effect to the vehicle. It is not burning off. One quart of oil approximately every thousand miles needs to be added. The car is due for spark plugs, and an alignment (alignment only because of the recent front end work). I have been getting about 20 mpg city and 30+ mpg highway, on premium fuel (this car will not run well on regular fuel). This 1997 Honda Prelude SH is a diamond in the rough, mechanically sound, but in need of minor body work all around. This car was Honda's flagship sports car and is a joy to drive. Repaired this car is worth twice the asking price. This car was replace with a Honda CR-Z hybrid (reason for parting with it), (if I had room for a second car I would do the body work and keep this classic). Because of the age of this car, it is being sold AS IS AS SHOWN, running and with current PA inspection stickers. No warranty offered.
