Vehicle Detail
Betty White my 1964 Lincoln Continental Runs good! I have driven this every summer since I bought it in 2005. I have even driven it to San Diego, California and back! I also drove it to Charlotte, NC too. Great cruiser for sure! Good condition suicide door Lincoln! Spent most of its life in the deserts of california. There are some dings and blemishes here and there, but there is hardly any rust thatI know of. Just a bit on the underside of the trunk in the corner. The glue the factory used absorbs water so its hard to find an original unrestored car with a perfect trunk. The paint isn't perfect but its a great driver and from ten feet away it looks really good. The interior needs to be recovered. The seat motors work great, all six ways. All the windows work. The engine runs good. Like I said, I've driven it all over the place and it still pulls strong. I put a proper three port fuel pump, new steering gearbox, new steering gearbox isolators, water pump, brakes (stops good), tires, mufflers, basically anything to keep it running on the road. Steering pump leaks a little, but I just add fluid and it seems to work fine. I put an electronic ignition in the distributer so it doesn't ping or knock at all. The A/C doesn't work. Its not seized or anything, but i never use it so I never even trouble shot it. All the glass is perfect. Some rubber is drying out, but its the trade off of a desert driven car. The body is solid all around. It has a bump here and there, but nothing too noticable. The left rear passenger door has been pushed in bit. Pounding it back out would be easy enough. Nobody notices it either. look at the pics and its hard to tell. The stainless steel is in really good condition except for the part under the driver's door. There is a dent. I have a relay kit for the headlights since they overheat and start blinking. Just haven't installed it yet. I bypassed the auto headlight dimmer and the bright lights trying to fix it, but ended up getting the relays. Its hard to find a Lincoln like this that can be daily driven around here! People love it and I get compliments all the time. This would be an easy restore job being the body is so solid, or a good custom job too. A Mobsteel suspension would be awesome!
