Vehicle Detail
Awesome "72" Vette. The last year for Chrome bumpers front and back and removable rear window. I bought this car in great shape. The interior had already been done by someone else, new leather seats, new carpet throughout. I took the entire undercarriage out and redid every thing, including: Trailing arms reconditioned with new bushings with stainless steel attachment bolts and shims. New 300 pound fiberglass touring spring, with all new bolts, bushings and attachments. New shocks (4). New brakes. New 1" torsion bar in rear and 7/8" in front. I pulled all of the front suspension and had the "A" arms sandblasted. New front coil springs with all bolts and bushings replaced new. I then removed the steering linkage and added a Steeroids rack and pinion steering setup. This is a bolt in package and all of the original steering components will come with the car if someone would ever like to change it back. When i got the car, it had the mirror T-Tops installed. I have a set of original tops that would need to be refinished and fitted that will come with the car too. This is just a really nice daily driver capable vintage Corvette. It does have a few dings in the paint. The most noticable is star shaped in the center of the hood over the air cleaner bolt. Someone replaced the orginal air cleaner and msut have left the bolt too long and tried to close the hood. In most lighting, it is not visible, but I included a very clear photo of it. The car did have some rust around the windshield frame when i got it. We cleaned that all up and sealed it with POR15 and it looks good. It has fresh oil change and a new battery this spring. She starts and runs greats. With the side pipes you will get noticed in this car and get all kinds of nice comments and thumbs up. Everything works including the clock. Headlights come up and down, wiper open and close. The windshield washer is not working and the red warning lenses in the center dash need to be replaced. I put a new Tach cable in two years ago. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me through Ebay. There are more photos availible. Sorry, when I took the photos this morning the light wasn't the greatest. Mileage is approximate, like many vintage autos, I don't know the actual mileage. NO RESERVE - Someone is going to get a really fine Chrome Bumper Vette!
