Bought in June 1981 from Honda House in Elmhurst. I believe I am the 2nd owner. Previous owner put in an electronic ignition kit. Other than that the bike is stock. It was last started in I believe 1998. It has been sitting since then. It has sat most of it’s life. A month ago, I filled the cylinders with oil and let it sit for a week. With the plug holes covered with rags, I GENTLY pushed on the kickstarter. A half inch diameter, 10+ foot long stream of oil shot almost simultaneously and silently out of both side of the bike. I thought about putting gas in and starting it, but after the oil debacle, was concerned the gaskets in the carbs might be dried out and then I would have gas all over the place. The speedometer had been taken apart 20 years go because the faceplate came loose. I am prepared to swear on a stack of Bibles the mileage is accurate. The front brake caliper is seized. Has always been in a storage locker or garage, never stored outdoors. Bike has hit the ground twice, once when the kick stand rolled up on an incline. The time I was pulling over to the side of the road on gravel and the front tire locked up. I hit the ground first and the bike landed on me, the bike made out better than I did.
