Vehicle Detail
Selling our 1970 Ford Bronco. We have owned the truck for a few months, dumped a bunch of money and time into it with the intention of keeping it forever, but it looks like forever came a little sooner than we thought so we are letting it go…It comes with what you see in the photos plus fiberglass (painted to match) door inserts, a bikini top, a set of stock front seats (with hardware and seatbelts) and some misc parts (some new and some used). The bronco has the following: Motor: Original 302 Ford V-8 with fresh rebuild. Has aluminum valve covers (Bronco Script), Holly Carburetor, Complete Mallory Ignition System, Long Headers, New Starter and Water Pump. The bronco is cold blooded and takes a minute to warm up in 60 degree mornings but after that runs out strong. Just had the carburetor rebuilt, engine tuned and all fluids changed. It is my daily driver at the moment and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere right now. Transmission: 4-Speed Top Loader, freshly rebuilt by Trans-Masters, all new gears, synchros, throw-out bearing, seals. New clutch and flex plate with all new floor mounted Hurst linkage and shifters (rebuild was $2400 and is under warranty for 12 months). The floor shifter is housed in a James Duff Fiberglass tunnel, the fit is so-so but does the job for the moment. Suspension: James Duff Ultimate Suspension 3” lift, dual shocks in front and rear, front stabilizer, complete bushing kit and drop pitman arm. Entire undercarriage of the truck is powder coated dark grey and shows little to no wear on it. It has mostly new hardware as well and rides like a lifted bronco should with no roll or sag. Front End: Dana 44 heavy duty with disc brakes. Brakes: Power Disc Brakes (Front) Power Drum (Rear) all new components including parking brake set up. New brake lines, cables and hardware. Parking brake is a bit tricky to access with roll cage installed but is fully functional. Steering: The Bronco has power steering with a brand new Grant 15" wood steering wheel. Electrical: It has a new Centech wiring harness and fuse box. The stock gauges have been by passed in lieu of an back lit aux gauge cluster (white face, red lights) for all the fuel, oil pressure, temp and elec/AC. Brand new ignition switch, dash mounted fuel switch and electronic fuel sending unit (eliminated mechanical valve) . Has a unique electrical isolation system that allows you to run select items (spots, radio, etc) without running all the accessories to preserve your battery. Under the hood it has a master cutoff switch for security and storage. Fuel System: Installed a new electronic tank switch (removed mechanical valve), new fuel sending units and all new wiring. New fuel lines, rebuilt fuel tanks, sending units, brand new filler necks and gaskets on both tanks. Truck has hard lines running the span of the frame with flex lines to tanks, valve and pump. Interior: Entire tub was rhino lined (older job, could use a redo), has mastercraft pro seats (with headrests super rare) mounted on sliders for full adjustment, mastercraft 5 point harness style racing seatbelts for front. Back seat is stock with a newer black cover on it (no arm rest covers). Has 6 point roll cage installed, cage is “ok” could use some attention to make it function as good as it looks. It has electronic wipers (removed vacuum lines) and is repositioning bracket for bikini top is installed (also included). Has decent stereo with removable face-plate, 4 speakers (boxed and removable). Also included is a very good condition set of stock seats , fiberglass roadster door inserts, bikini top and seat belts. Body and Paint: Truck has NO rust, it was a west coast truck from day one…It is painted a Ford light metallic blue reminiscent of early Ford Cobra’s with a Wimbledon white top…It’s a great color combo on the truck and an awesome paint job from 10 feet away. It looks like it has some body filler around rear seams on quarter panels, filler neck and front fenders, NO rust on floors posts or other that I can see. Floors were replaced, decent job, very solid, entire body painted (under, engine bay, interior), no rust in engine compartment, seams or frame. Doors are showing some sag and don’t line up perfect but shut tight, lock and work fine. Might need new hinges and some shimming to make perfect, have not tackled that yet. Hood is in great shape, has polyurethane locking hood pin system on it as well as stock hood latch. The hood is showing some signs of flexing around window spray nozzles and the passenger side fender touches slightly when it is shut. Rims and Tires: Has older steel “wagon wheel rims" on brand new 33x12.5x15” Big O Mud Terrain tires. Spare is a really crappy BFG that might get you home but not worth keeping in my opinion. Would do a world of good to swap out with some nice slotted mags or Outlaw II's Bumpers: Has front and rear James Duff Pre-Runner Bumpers with Warn 8500 Winch (12,000 Lb) with remote (all working and in great shape), KC Spot lights (one bulb is out at the moment) and 2" trailer receiver. Other fun items: James Duff urethane fender flares and a 2” polyurethane body lift. Original tire rack is on the truck and works perfect. Has Cherry Bomb “Turbo” exhaust on it which is a bit loud for my taste but seems to run out fine on the truck. Truck runs great, has given me no trouble at all since I have owned it. Not super excited to sell but I have an opportunity to get something new and need to let this one go. It has all the right stuff on it and needs very little to be perfect for the next 20 years or more. I have the full Marti Report on the truck with build sheet and original specs that will go to new owner. I have described this vehicle thoroughly and honestly. I buy and sell bikes, cars and trucks on ebay and I take pride in having a 100% seller approval rating. If you have any doubts or questions, please ask in advance of bidding, I do not like folks that run up bids with no intention of honoring them or trying to negotiate after the fact. The Bronco is located in San Diego, and you are welcome to inspect prior to bidding. Winning bidder will need to make a $500 deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction. If deposit is not received, I will assume you are a derelict bidder, report your account and re-list the vehicle. Balance to be paid within 7 working days of end of auction. Bronco and title will not leave my possession without 100% payment being made. I do accept Cash, Certified Funds, Paypal and I can take Credit Cards if you would like. If you use a CC there will be 3% added to the price to cover fees. I can and will assist in coordinating shipping and can recommend some good haulers if you need to have it delivered to you. West coast usually runs about $800, cross country $1100. Shipping (as are any other fees or costs relating to transport post sale) are the responsibility of the buyer.
