1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible White River Junction, VT Reserve Price: US $7,500 Engine 501 1974 Cadillac Eldorado in black with white pin-striping and black leather interior. The odometer shows 05908, but could be 105908? Due to illness of the owner, this car is almost a true barn find. It is an uncompleted full frame-off restoration project of an original rust free Virginia car. We can show you over $10,000 of receipt of work done. Four years ago this Cadillac was driven from Virginia to the present location, and has been sitting since. Only to be started regularly to keep it free. The remaining two major projects to be done are the adjustment of the motor hood, and the installation of a soft top (a Haartz top costs $350-$450). But you can drive it as is, as a true convertible! My brief inspection showed that there is no rust on the frame or the under pan. Both are thoroughly coated, and show the good workmanship which was done. The exhaust is new all the way from the front and has little surface rust at a few spots. The exterior paint is good, it shows a few minor blemishes mainly due to storage and road rash. Nothing really serious, which you might want to live with, if used as a driver. The chrome needs some polishing, but shows no rust at all.. All plastic( except a small piece below the rear license plate holder), glass, and trim (one small dent on the lower rear tire valance) are also in good condition. The interior is in good overall condition. The leather upholstery is in great shape with only minor signs of wear, and has it's original softness and finish, without any tears or loose seams. The dash is still very nice, as well as the door panels and carpeting. The side windows are tinted. A JVC radio is installed in the dash, with a JVC 12 CD-changer in the trunk. The speakers are mounted in separate boxes in the back and a custom console on the front floor. No hacking has been done on any panels. So this can easily be redone as stock. The engine bay makes a very dependable impression, with all new hoses and many new components. The engine the complete drivetrain, and brakes were all rebuilt, less than 5000 miles ago. The battery is of recent vintage. As far as I know all electrics are working. I am not sure about the A/C. The car comes with a full Technalon Z Covercraft cover All tires show like almost new, and the wheels are in good condition. A great opportunity to own a beautiful and dependable Eldorado, which with a little elbow grease will serve the new owner very well. Vermont does not have titles for cars over 25 years old.
