Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 This 1974 GTO is not just a used car, it is an investment, and a peace of true American history. Only 5,335 were made, and there are very few of them left, this was the only model year of this body style, and the last year of the muscle car. The 1974 GTO is the most rare of all GTO’s and the value increases at an average of 10% annually. This 1974 GTO in good condition, it has been in storage since 1988. Has a Chevy 350 with street/strip cam, bored .30 flat top pistons, Torker II intake, and a Holley carb, Headers to dual glasspacks, with a 3 speed Hurst on the floor. It has a new gas tank, battery, and exhaust. Runs, drives, stops, and sounds great. Frame and body are solid, engine and trans has low mileage, the vehicle has an odometer reading of 35,XXX miles, but most likely has rolled, and are closer to 135,XXX which is still very low mileage for a 40 year old vehicle. It has some small dings, chips, and pealing paint. It also has had some bodywork in the past that needs correction. So it will need some minimal bodywork, and a paint job. The interior is in good condition, no cracks in the dash pad, and has newer carpet, I also have new weather stripping for doors, and trunk, new scuff plates and new hinge pins to be installed. It has some other miner issues, like left turn signal light doesn’t blink, radio is aftermarket and does not get very good reception, seat belt recoil sticks, driver side seat adjustment sticks. Dash lens for speedometer has small crack, and the door panel on driver side has a small crack and passenger side has a small crease. The seat bottoms of both the driver and passenger seat have small tears in a seam. Just little things that I have not had time to check out or correct. These things should all be an easy fix. It is not perfect, it is not a show car, but a very good base to work from. I have lowered the Reserve, to what I feel is a very fair and reasonable price, and please do not ask what the reserve is. This will be the last time that I will list this vehicle, and it is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to withdraw this vehicle from auction at anytime.
