Vehicle Detail
I have owned this car for over 12 years. I have enjoyed driving it around town and even with some rust and a few dents, I get a few smiles and thumbs up. History: I purchased this car from a friend who owned it new (per her story, never confirmed). It was an anniversary gift from her husband at that time. They lived at the Air Force Base located just outside of Lompoc, CA. She told me that car was purchased at the local Ford dealer in Lompoc. I have the original owners manual but the persons name inside has been blacked out. She drove the car to work every day until about 1991 when it was put in the garage for about 9-10 years. I worked with the owner at that time and we made arrangements to view the car. It had not been driven or started all that time. We agreed on a price and with a change of gas, oil and battery, she started after a few spins. The car was re painted by her son in High School but he didn't do the best in body work and some rust has come through after sitting on the coast at the Air Force Base. I had the front end and rear end rebuilt. It has a new radiator. Tires are good. Exhaust system is newer. Brake system was worked on right after I bought it. The interior is not original but it looks great outside of needing new door panels. The car comes with: 2 front fenders, 2 rear panels and a reclining front passenger seat from a parts car. Rebuilt AM/Radio/8 Track player, additional skirts, hubcaps and lots of extra parts. She starts and runs great. I don't see any blue coming out when you are driving and/or starting it but she has a few leaks here and there. I hate to see this car go. It has been good to me and always makes me smile when I am driving around down but do to the loss of a job a while back, going without a job for a while, now having a job but need to move out of state, I think its time for her to move on to someone that can and wants to do more with her.
