Vehicle Detail
As far as I can tell, the bike is all original except for the tires. I purchased the bike from a neighborhood friend and used it to commute around campus. It runs well and the sprockets, brakes and tires have a lot of wear remaining. It does leak a little oil but it is not problematic. It needs some work to run perfectly, but almost any individual could successfully work on these simple engines and frames with the right guidance. Right now I can roll-start it but it is a bit squirrely on kick-starting. Highlights include: a tachometer (measure RPM), very low mileage (average of about 120 per year), and a brand new battery and spark plug. Noteworthy flaws include a broken taillight and the oil leak I mentioned earlier. There are a few minor scratches and the like, but I'm sure they could be buffed out by a professional seeking restoration, or tolerated by a casual user seeking fun. This vehicle DOES NOT have a title -- In Alabama, motorcycles released before 1976 (or some year close to it) do not require a title. With purchase, you will receive a bill of sale only. Please feel free to ask me any more questions that you may have or request more pictures! Thanks for looking and have a great day! I took the displayed pictures with a very high-resolution camera, but some of those minor flaws still may not show up in the pictures. If I had to assign a score out of 10 to the vehicle's current cosmetics and function, I'd give both a 6 or 7, considering that this motorcycle is all-original (except tires) and 40 years old. I'll also be willing to part with the original manual for an additional fee if the winner of the auction (or another interested buyer) so chooses. Right now I can roll-start it but it is a bit inconsistent on kick-starting. A few months ago I had it starting on the first kick, but it has since gradually become less consistent and I don't have my family experts to consult at college.
