The metallic green changes with different lighting so try and go thru them all. You will not be disappointed; especially with the undercarriage pics. Should you have difficulty please message me your email address and I will send you the link that way. In addition, see below for details but know that I am not interested in any trades as I am trying to make room for additional vehicles. The engine was rated 185 hp/300 ft-lbs tq from the factory and I would bet that it has not lost power since day one. This truck drives like it just drove off the showroom floor. The Spring Green paint is shiny and the stainless trim is in almost perfect condition. The interior is in very nice condition also with only a few flaws (a tear starting in the back corner of the drivers seat and a small cut in the side panel in the rear opposite the spare tire). This is a very special vehicle (look at the condition of the engine bay and undercarriage). It was bought by the original owner in Wyoming and only used to tow their boat to a local lake during the summer months. The rest of the time it was kept in a barn and only used sparingly to keep the mechanical parts from deteriorating. I have a letter from said original owner stating the original mileage at the time the family sold the truck and also a picture of it from when it was brand new. I am the fourth owner of the Jimmy. The second owner bought it from an auto broker the family brought it to. This owner spent a good amount of time cleaning the truck up and when he was done could not bring himself to use it as the ranch vehicle he had initially bought it for. His brother is a certified judge at the Chevy Nationals and went over this truck with a fine tooth comb. It is all numbers matching and has every paint daub and inspection mark from the factory. He even documented it to be used as a benchmark. The 3rd owner purchased it from him in 2007 and drove it around 5000 miles and I have driven it less than 500 miles. Being a vehicle that was not previously driven very much the 3rd owner did some maintenance on it so that it could survive the hot summer months in Texas (the great a/c in these trucks is one of the reasons the 3rd owner and I both bought it). The radiator, thermostat, and water pump has been replaced. The A/C has been professionally converted from R12 to R134. The transmission has been rebuilt because the seals had dried out and was leaking which in turn burned the belts (this was a total rebuild) and at that time the transfer case was also serviced. The carburetor has also been rebuilt. I have all the receipts for the work done on this truck (a local and well respected mechanic). When someone usually says a vehicle is 'original' you can usually read down the description and find that it has been repainted only once or has had engine or interior mods. This Jimmy has had none of that. All paint is original. All carpet and interior is original. It is completely numbers matching right down to the green ignition buzzer. There are no rock chips on the front because it had a giant plexiglass rock shield attached by brackets under the hood. The parts that are not original are normal replacement type things (water pump, radiator-i have original still-,thermostat, a/c update, transmission and carb rebuild, valve cover gaskets, wheel bearings, tires, and maybe a few other small items I can't remember. Whether you are specifically looking for a GMC Jimmy, or a Chevrolet Blazer, or a International Harvester Scout, or a Ford Bronco or a Toyota FJ, or even a Land Rover Defender, I will bet I can guarantee one thing. You are tired of looking for the right vehicle, getting your hopes up that you have found it, only to find out that what you have actually come across is another piece of junk. It is time consuming and exhausting, but if you have read this far you know this is a different opportunity. That being said, this is also not a Jimmy that can be bought for $12,000-$18,000 like many out there. Now, I am not degrading those vehicles. The right vehicles in that price range have their place and can be a blast; and there are plenty of them out there. In fact, I have someone drop a note on the seat when the windows are down or on the windshield when I am out in it with an unsolicited offer for between $12,000 and $15,000 every month or so hoping that they have found the 4WD rig they have been looking for locally and in their budget. That said, they never seem very surprised when I tell them what it will cost because of what the truck really is as far as originality and mileage- or if they happened to look underneath it. Also, only recently have I decided to let it go.Again, this is an opportunity for the enthusiast with some reasonable wherewithal. The buyer that knows that some relatively minimal additional well spent dollars can net significant value and more hours of hassle free enjoyment. Also, I have to mention how much attention this truck gets. I own/have owned six figure cars whether they be C2 big clock Corvettes or 1962 Bel Air Bubbletops that have been feature cars in Rod & Custom; relatively speaking this GMC gets similar attention and plenty of "thumbs up" going down the road. I just sold my frame off restored 1973 International Harvester Scout for $37,000 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Scout-II-/251272035313?_trksid=p3984.m1561.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&forcev4exp=true) and I am currently selling my 1969 Oldsmobile 442 (See other items). I trust this will give you a sense of the type of vehicles I own. I believe in this day and age people that are looking to enjoy a vehicle want one of 2 things; either as close to perfect as possible frame off restored vehicles or authentic, original, unmolested vehicles with all the character that comes with that choice. This GMC Jimmy is an excellent example of the latter. This Jimmy is mechanically and cosmetically sound and I would not hesitate to drive it across the country. Again, please review my seller feedback, as well as my buyer feedback. I have a good amount of vehicle transactions ranging from price of this GMC Jimmy to the six figure range- all with 100% positive feedback. That being said, it does have a few flaws. Sitting in a barn as it did, things were placed on it or leaned up against it over the years it spent time with the original owners. There is a small dent on top of the hood and there are small paint chips on both drivers and passenger doors. The passenger door is worse, but I did not want to fix this since it had 'patina' in my mind. Someone else may feel different. The great thing is that any paint repair falls in between the chrome trim belt-lines which means it is easily a spot fix. It also has a paint chip on the ashtray and some holes drilled in the tunnel where a CB radio had been installed. So, you may be wondering why I am selling such a great vehicle with a great history of proven originality. Like many people, I have an active pursuit of this passion and the enjoyment of these old rides-with only so much garage space. But primarily, I recently had the opportunity to purchase another GMC Jimmy of the same body style that I have wanted for quite some time and before I owned this one. Not a better Jimmy, just one to which I have a personal connection.Serious and qualified prospective buyers, please free to contact me by message through ebay or via phone at 713.444.5088. Please note that I will not accept bids from those with negative feedback and that those with zero feedback must contact me prior to bid. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time as vehicle is listed locally and being marketed through other media. Thank you, Charles
