Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1975 Suzuki GT250. This motorcycle is a low-mile turn-key classic that draws attention no matter where you ride. This is a wonderful example of a well-kept, non-neglected Suzuki GT250, offering all the fun and performance of stock with a few updates. It has 2,969 original miles from 3 owners; the first being a collector in NY, the second being a classic-bike enthusiast in GA, and then me. The bike starts instantly on the first kick whether cold or hot as well as runs and drives perfectly with zero issues after years of ownership. I drove it to work (covered parking) every day last week and can safely say that this motorcycle needs absolutely nothing but a new rider. Non-factory components: The fuel lines have been replaced with ethanol-safe lines and have an in-line fuel filters (always clean) above of each carb. Seat is non-factory, but a great change for those of us under 5'10" and offers a slightly more stylish/sporting appearance. Handle bars are non-factory (stock bars included) but again provide a much sportier look and feel (lets call it "updated"). The rear turn signals (included) have been removed along with the side reflectors to clean up the appearance of the tail. Specific conditions: The chrome is clean without any pitting or corrosion; exhaust pipes, wheels, fenders, handle bars, and headlight bucket are great. Paint is very nice and all body panels are in great shape with exception to a small 1/2" nick on the front of the tank (hard to see). Electrical works great, all rubber is soft and pliable, and the instrumentation is one of the nicest originals I've seen on a GT250. Throttle and clutch pull are smooth and without issues, all hand controls work perfectly, and brakes are perfect in their condition. The motor is in excellent condition, has great compression, and runs smooth and cleanly on the factory oil injection system. Included Extras: A brand new set of Avon Roadrider 90/90B-18 front and 100/90B-18 rear tires and IRC tubes (running original NOS tires now). New old-stock side and output shaft seals and a complete transmission (ended-up it was only overfilled, didn't need them after-all).A really intriguing original 1977 NewYork vehicle inspection sticker on the chain guard (fun to point out at the classic-bike show). Now for the pictures: - - Part of me is definitely sad to part way with this bike but I take solace knowing someone else out there is getting the chance to enjoy it. I will take a $150 deposit (paypal will be fine) within 1 business day of auction end, and full payment upon pickup (I am flexible on time). Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have that I haven't covered in my posting and I will reply promptly. Thanks and good-luck. I stuck-on the GoPro camera and recorded the one-kick cold start and pleasant drive to work. Watch the ~12min video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4kJraYQrpo I proceeded to forget it may be helpful to show a warm-start (also always one-kick) just in-case. You can see that video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CJ-Woj5PUo Thanks -WilliamOn Jun-06-13 at 06:30:56 PDT, seller added the following information: ---------------------------------UPDATES 6/6/2013-------------------------------------------------------- If you have zero feedback and are interested in the motorcycle, please send me a quick note outlining how you plan to pay and pick-up otherwise I will reach-out to you for a reasonable verification that you understand the eBay purchasing/bidding process and have honest intent and means to follow-through. Please understand this is nothing against new members, but I cannot allow "fluff" bidding to drive up the price for those legitimate bidders.  Respond as promptly as possible (I will allow 24hrs) or risk having your bids canceled and removed. To those legitimate bidders/buyers, please rest assured I will allow NO false bids. Thanks and sorry, William
