If you are looking for a large, affordable car that has some great heavy duty upgrades, this is the one for you. We just purchased this Ford Crown Victoria with the Police Interceptor Package last week and we think it's pretty cool. It's beefed up in all the right places and is in excellent condition too. The best part is that WE'RE SELLING IT WITH NO RESERVE AND THE BID STARTS AT $1.00!!!! FORGET ABOUT ALL OF THOSE RESERVE AUCTIONS AND TRY A TRUE AUCTION. THIS CAR WILL BE SOLD TO THE LAST BIDDER........NO MATTER WHAT!!!! Most dealers would list this car with a hefty reserve, but not Valley Auto Sport.....we've got the best merchandise and no reserves. Ok....here's the details. This Crown Vic is a bit out of our normal range of inventory, but we just couldn't pass it up. We see loads and loads of these come through the government surplus sales, but most of them are pretty beat up and past their prime. This little gem, however, was previously owned by the Department of Homeland Security and is in great condition. The former active police versions usually have holes in the roof an body from equipment and have been used and abused. This one has none of that and shows absolutely no signs of abuse. It wasn't used to haul drunks, thieves, and other criminals around and the back seats look like they may have never even been used. We assume it was most likely just a driver for one of the agents and not much more. However, it was still built to the same P71 specs and set up for extreme duty use. The Crown Victoria has been used for many, many years in law enforcement, by the government, taxi fleets, and rental fleets. Ford had a specific package, the P71, specifically for law enforcement use. It includes a different program for the engine to add a bit horsepower, a different program for the transmission for more solid and precise shifting, an external oil cooler to handle high speeds and RPM's for long time periods, dual stainless steel exhaust, beefier springs for a bit more ground clearance, and extreme duty shocks for better stability. There are some other options and tweaks as well that you can read about by CLICKING HERE. Power comes from the trusted 4.6L Ford V8 engine that has an upgraded air filter system for a horsepower rating around 250. The transmission is a 4-speed with overdrive programmed for firmer and more precise shifts. The interior options are pretty basic, but it has everything you could want or need. There are Power Windows and Locks, Cruise Control, Rear Defrost, Tilt Steering Wheel, and Front Bucket Seats. It is really quite comfortable to drive, and with only 70k miles will likely run for several hundred thousand miles more if you take good care of it. Since it was government owned, it has been fleet maintained by the motor pool mechanics and is really in great condition. As we mentioned above, the rear seats appear to have hardly ever been used and the rest of the interior is very nice as well. There is a mounting plate in between the front seats where the communications equipment used to be and a rack in the trunk for more components. You can take these out or use them for something else if you so choose. If you're one of those people who likes to buy a car and drive it until the wheels fall off, this is definitely a great choice. This engine may never wear out, and if cared for properly, the rest of the car will last just as long. Uncle Sam has paid the initial depreciation hit, so all that's left is a great car that will be sold at a great price....what are you waiting for???? The Carfax and title are crystal clear showing no signs of previous accident history. We have included a link to a free copy of the actual Vehicle History Report below, so be sure to check it out. Outside the White paint shines and glistens and we can find no dents or dings to report....the exterior is excellent in our opinion. Other than a couple normal marks and chips from 70k miles of driving, we don't have much else to report. Overall, it just looks great and there are no holes or damage from antennas or other devices. Please remember that this is a used car, so if you are looking for a perfect automobile, this is not the one for you. All the specs and features we list above were included when it was built. We have not confirmed that everything is still to that spec, but assume that it is. Inside, the Gray Cloth is in beautiful shape with no holes or tears. As always, we just had it serviced, including fresh oil, filter, and also full safety inspection. It is sitting on four matching tires, size 225/60 R-16, with about 40% tread life remaining on all four tires. The guides don't really know how to price a Police Interceptor, so we're starting at $1.00 and going from there. We want you to tell us what it is worth.
