Vehicle Detail
This is an absolutely fantastic, original collector's 1968 Ford Bronco with 49,572 actual miles. It has been stored indoors and has spent its entire life history in the arid West. It has NO rust and is almost as clean as the day it came off the showroom floor. It starts every time, and drives true and straight and the engine purrs and does not use any oil. Original owner's manual, window price sticker and shop manual included in the sale. I purchased this vehicle from the granddaughter of the first owner who bought the vehicle in 1968 at a Ford dealer in Pueblo, Colorado. It starts every time and has been well maintained and driven only a few miles each year, only in the summer. It came from the dealer with a PTO winch which is fully operational. The interior is immaculate and the original vinyl seats are in top condition and have been covered with seat covers for ten years; one of the seat belts in the rear even has the original plastic cover that came from the factory to the dealer. The vehicle has some minor wear that is to be expected from a vehicle that is nearly fifty years old such as rubber molding around the doors that needs to be replaced, a few minor scratches in the original paint and one very small dent in the right rear quarter panel. The original paint still has a nice shine and the dashboard and other interior parts all are in great shape. The cigarette lighter works, as do the vacuum-assist windshield wipers. The washer pump needs to be replaced and the gas gauge is inaccurate as might be expected from a vehicle of this age. On May-12-13 at 08:07:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Since listing, I've had several questions about the color. I was calling it maroon in the description, but after researching old Ford colors, I believe it is technically Pony Express Bay, which was an option on Ford trucks in 1968. Regardless, it's an unusual color and very attractive; the colors in the pictures posted look very accurate to me. On May-14-13 at 22:46:26 PDT, seller added the following information: This is a "Sportsman Special" Bronco which was built specifically for Ford dealers in the Rocky Mountain states and included the limited slip 4:10 rear end and the winch. This is a rare Bronco and very hard to find, let alone in this condition.
