This bike has spent most of its years in a private collection where it was used and well maintained. I have owned it for the last year and a half and used it for errands. I had a lot of fun taking it to meets where it always drew a crowd. The tires have several hundred miles on them and still have most of the rubber tips. The seat is perfect. Battery was replaced two years ago and has never been allowed to run down. This winter I changed the oil , replaced the air cleaner , and installed a genuine Honda muffler. There is little discoloring on the leg shield, there are little nicks here and there. The chrome is very good. This bike is in excellent condition for a thirty one year old bike with 5000 miles on it. I would say it has the proper patina. The 82 & 83 Passports were equipped with a 12 volt system that is superior to earlier models, they were also the last imported. I know that other bikes of this model come up on Ebay with way less miles from sitting for years. Miles never hurt a Honda if they are well maintained. This bike has no leaks, no smoke from the exhaust, starts easily, electric or kick, and uses no oil. All lights and gauges work. The three speed transmission works perfectly, no clutch makes riding a snap. I have had a lot of fun with this bike and is time to move on to other rides I want own before my years are up. The reserve is low. The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I am in close proximity to I 80 so shipping would not be a problem.
