Vehicle Detail
1965 Mustang Fastback 2 + 2. This is between a 2 and 3 rating. Original engine was just professionally rebuilt in late 2005 and only has about 200 miles on this engine. At the same time a new water pump and fuel pump etc. were put on. Cost to rebuild the engine etc. was $4,777.00 . Brakes were replaced in 2006, and new carburetor in 2006. This has a 289 plus .030 high performance engine in it. Body and paint were done in 1978. New bumpers, body parts, carpeting and floor panels were put on at that time. Front seats are from a1969 Mach 1 (for comfort). I have the original 1965 seats which are in good condition and included. Front suspension rebuilt and aligned. Rear end gears 355 traction lock. Hooker headers with turbo mufflers. C4 transmission. Frame and trunk are solid. This has drum brakes. Color is ragoon red (looks like orange). Interior is black. As pictured, paint is starting to peel underneath the trunk lid. Good every place else. This has the Rally Pac on the steering wheel, which is not currently working, but I have a new wiring harness for it, which is included. Heater works, but need to be wired differently. An aftermarket Mustang radio was installed a couple of years ago, but has some loose wires and needs to be wired to work properly. (Tape player works but not radio. Possibly wires not attached to antenna). Radio cost $400.00. I have all paperwork with work done to the car after I purchased it. Mileage of 85,000 is not documents. The person I bought this from told me it was the original mileage. I have nothing to prove it. I purchased this from the man who redid the car in 1978. This car is nice and runs and sounds great. I love it, but it needs to be driven. This has always been garage kept since it was redone in 1970's. Solid car. You could pick this up and drive it home. You arrange for shipping or pickup. Any question, ask and I will try to answer. I require $1,000.00 down through Paypal within three days at the end of the auction. I prefer balance, cash at pickup. Money order or cashiers checks will be have to clear my bank before pickup can be arranged. No personal checks. Located in Kenosha County, WI, just south of Burlington, WI.
