Vehicle Detail

I SELL ONLY IN THE UNITED STATES!! The winning bidder has 48 hours of auction end to pay by paypal, and come to pick up or drive home, or shipping arrangements within 10 days!! Nice 1965 International Scout with a 152, 4 cyclinder engine, 3 speed on the floor and has 2 smaller shifters for lower gear ratio's. Has a 1965 title that matches the plate on firewall. It is a daily diver. I started to build this 5 years ago. It has brand new leaf springs all the way around, new shock mounts all the way around, brand new wheel cyclinders all around, brand new clutch slave cyclinder, brand new clutch master cyclinder. Brand new fuel transfer vavles (left & right) and some still have rubber on it. Has 55,227 miles with the original gauge. I took the head off & re-surfaced & rebuilt at NAPA, new lifters, vavle springs, spring cups, all vavles reseated, new head gasket, new carb, (Holly) one year ago, new off road fuel pump, brand new starter a month ago, rear light harness, the top was painted about 4 years ago for $500.00 and has a small patch towards the back that has surface rust, all drip edges have been resealed. The body was painted one year ago for $2000.00. Has 2 brand new poly gas tanks with 2 new sending units, new rear tail light harness, has a cool model A horn, and works great!! All lights, gauges, turn signals, heater, everything works on it. Has nice diamond plated bumper. Even though it has the orginal exhaust it does have a new muffler. You may in the future want to put a new exhaust on it, but nothing urgent. Sounds like a regular 4 cyclinder with hydraulic lifters, and sounds like a sewing machine but drives and rides great! Sounds like an old jeep, or sewing machine, which one you prefer. Floors are rock solid. One good thing about the body is it has never been ate up, it is a good solid sounding tub. Does have a few scrapes on right side of body. I pulled it out of the barn and scraped the corner panel on it. There are a few scrapes but no creases in the paint only surface scrapes . I did this right after it was painted (scraped it). There are a few light scratches on top of hood where I opened the hood and my over head light scratched it and could be buffed out, few chips around the door and other spots that could be touched up. Has no padding or carpet yet, and winning bidder can do that. The resister needs to be mounted to firewall. Original jeep style seats that are in pretty nice condition. There is a cross member welded to the inside of the box that supports sheet medal deck lid which is included. If you take the top off you can put the lid on with the hinges. The lid is 1/16" thick steel plate. It is basically a box lid. The windshield go forward and attaches to to the hood. The engine has NO leaks what so ever!! It is a little cold in the mornings, so it has a manual choke. Both vaccum wipers work but no spray system, but I did install a little spray head on hood. It needs new rubber around roll up window between the top and window on both sides, I think you can find them online. One of the benches in the box has a wrinkle (see photo). License plate light works fine. Also, has a pretty descent soft top that goes with it, I bought it separately but never put it on. Has a couple brackets with it, also 2 very nice already painted the same color black doors. The 2 extra doors are for sliding windows and also have all 4 pieces that go with the doors, a brand new set of lower rails for sliding glass, but could never find the frames, so never put the 2 doors on. Everything is included, plus an extra windshield, one extra roll up window, extra dash that has 2 gauges & other fixtures on it. The hub caps are in fiar condition. The tire are snow biters (almost military tires). The 4 wheel drive works great, it will go though 2 feet of snow very easily!! The tires are older and checked, but have used them ever since I had this and use it. If you put a lift kit, some nobbie tires and a roll bar it would be a sharp looking truck. I have only driven it 150 miles at one time and no problems. When fueling, you have to go slow because poly tanks have a thick lip. I have invested $12,000.00 in this truck and you get a lot of extra parts. Probably could use some front shocks. The emergency brake does work but could use a new rear cable. I even have another rocker panel that I could throw in. A low reserve of about 4K. You get a lot of extra parts and well worth the money. It has a lot of potential to be a sharp looking truck, it is more orginal jeep style now. Put 4 speed in it for higher end speed. Most scout owners know what these trucks can do!! Some electrical needs to be taped up, a lot of it was just re-wired. What you see is what you get. I also have a 1966 scout with a 304 half cab automatic, I may be putting on soon. This black scout is SOLD AS IS!! On May-09-13 at 08:34:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I just added more pictures. There are also added pictures of the 2 doors and soft top for the winning bidder. The winning bidder will get these that are worth at least $1000.00 to $1500.00.
