Vehicle Detail
1993 Ford Mustang Convertible I bought this car in December of 1994,and have owned it for 19 years. It has the 2.3L 4 cyl. engine with automatic transmission. All the power options work, but the AC needs a recharge. There is 134956 actual miles on car now, with 33956 actual miles on the engine. The engine was replaced with a new genuine ford engine by a ford dealership in Minnetonka,Mn. eight years ago when the original engines timing belt busted when I was doing 60 mph down the highway. The car had approx.101000 miles on it at the time. The price for engine replacement was over $3,300.00. I talked to the mechanic who worked on it and he told me that timing belts should be replaced when they have 100,000 miles on them. Good to know. The convertible top is new,the battery was replaced last year. The rear brakes (wheel cyl.,shoes, drums turned),spark plugs, spark plug wires, and fuel filter have 11,300 miles on them since they were replaced. I have kept good maintenance on this car (other than having the timing belt changed) and it's in very good mechicial condition and would not be afraid to drive it anywhere in the country. This tires are near new and have very good tread. The car has been stored in my garage for over 6 years. The body has some areas of surface rust here and there, but not bad fo a 20 year old car. There is a small dent (see pictures) on the front drivers side fender, but not to serious. Buyers are welcome and encouraged to inspect the car before bidding as there are no refunds or returns to the winning bidder. The car is sold as is. The car and title will not be released until it is paid in full. I will work with the transport company that buyer employs to transport the car, although I would just drive it home.
