1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe. 42,438 miles. I do not know if the milage is accurate or if speedometer had been disconected. Original 6 cylinder 216 engine. 3 speed on the column. 2 door. Rear tires good condition and front tires are near new (recently). Replaced: fuel pump, starter, generator, fuel tank, brake pads, brake cylinders w/springs pins, etc, and emergency-brake cables. Drums turned. Recently tuned, starts, and runs like new. Very solid with little surface rust. One small dent on left front fender. The car was in a dairy barn, since 1972, in Wisconsin (thus explains the rust hole in driver side floor board from snow tracked into vehicle, I assume.The steering is as though it was power steering, smooth and easy. The doors open and close easily and are a solid shut. 1940 was the last year for Chevrolet to have running-boards. It has 4 cracked windows and needs new exhaust system. It also has a short circuit so I leave the new battery unconnected. Tail-lights work but not the head lights. It has a clear title and I am selling it "as is". I have owned it for 2 years and decided to sell because of open-heart surgery "etc". The car was to be my retirement project/hobby. Doctor suggested I "take it easy". No more leaning over fenders or crawling under and working overhead.
