‘76 F-250 Custom This is long with a lot of detailed information. If you want to have what you need to make a good decision, I recommend taking the time. This truck is original and unrestored/unmolested. The original lock ring wheels were eliminated in favor of nice 90’s model Ford aluminum wheels, which are much safer and user friendly. This truck belonged to the same owner since 1978. He is now in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s. It does come with the clear Texas title from 1978, when he purchased it. There is no way to describe how solid this truck in text. It is what I would describe as a true virgin. Miles The truck has only 59,xxx actual miles. Equipment -390 C.I. Motor (Original) -4 speed manual (Original) -Air Conditioning The air conditioning is not working at this point. I do not believe it would take much to get it working. -AM Radio (Original, Works) Vehicle Condition Motor Excellent! The engine is solid, runs excellent , strong oil pressure, and has no oil leaks. Note: The driver side valve cover was removed and the rocker arm assembly photo'd in order to show the clean condition therein. There was no cleaning done for this photo. It can be seen in the Ebay picture viewer toward the bottom of the auction. Transmission and Clutch Excellent! The clutch is in good working condition with no chatter. The transmission is tight and shifts as it should. Rear End & Driveshaft Excellent! No vibrations or strange noises. Electrical Excellent! Although the fuel switching valve works well, and switches between the main and auxiliary tanks with no problem, the front gauge works intermittently while the rear works as it should. This is a minor issue, all the other gauges work. Brakes I haven’t gone into the brakes; they stop the truck well and did not see a need. Tires All 4 tires are excellent. It comes with original spare. Exhaust The entire exhaust system was replaced with aluminized dual exhaust. Suspension The suspension is excellent in front and rear. The truck sits up very nice. Body Excellent! The body is in very nice condition. It has never been wrecked. There are no rust through issues on the truck. The body is in outstanding condition Paint It is a mixture of original and spot touch ups. Spot work and other flaws make for an imperfect match and appearance. I can tell you however, that to spite any issues; this truck looks very nice in person. A very good looking truck Bright Work The bright work is original and in very good condition. Glass Excellent!! Interior Excellent! The interior is all original right down to the rubber mat. The dash pad, sun visors, headliner, door panels, floor mat and seat are in beautiful condition. There are a couple of small flaws on the seat, but does not look bad at all, as can be seen in the photos. Very Nice! In Summary This is an excellent, original truck. It has been well care for and driven gently. You are not buying a detail job here. Only the top side of the motor has been cleaned up other than just good wash. It is not painted on the underside, therefor all is there to see and not hidden. It is not perfect, but very nice! Even the original assembly line markings are still right there on the firewall. I drove these when they were new and in my opinion the truck drives exactly as it did when it was new. No squeaks, rattles, just very, very tight and solid!
