Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a 2006 Triumph Scrambler. Here's the deal: Very low mileage: 2917 miles. I'm the second owner; I bought it local with 1300 miles on it. I've only put 1600 miles on it in 4 years. The bike runs like a top. It's been gently ridden, stored in a garage and serviced at a local shop (Velocity Motorcycles in Richmond, VA) that specializes in Triumphs.Has the upgrade package, includingtachometerdresser barsracing numbers (a la Steve McQueen)chrome bug screen on headlight I made some modifications:repainted the bike red with white racing stripe changed tank insignias to retro Triumph insigniastook off knee pads changed handlebars (standard Scrambler bars are a bit higher and wider than the bars on this bike)What else you get:alarm system with 2 key fobs (installed, but currently disconnected; it's easy to connect) motorcycle cover knee pads (in case you want to put them back on) cargo netsingle seat with tie down rackwindscreen (this is still blue because I neglected to have it painted when I got everything else painted)extra racing number with installation hardwarecafe racer rear view mirrors ImperfectionsOne rear view mirror is black matte and the other is chrome. I parked the bike next to the wall in my garage and when I rocked it down on its kickstand, the left hand mirror hit the wall and broke off. I mistakenly bought a chrome one online. Ride it for a couple days and you'll probably forget about the difference. I didn't notice it until I started taking pictures for this listing. As you can see from the pictures, the difference is small. Like most Scramblers, the exhaust pipes are discolored near the manifold. Unlike most Scramblers, there is some slight discoloration on the pipes at the rear of the bike (the bike ran hot one day due to mixture problems and that put too much heat on the exit point of the pipes). This is not very noticeable. The chrome heat shields along the exhaust pipes are still in perfect shape and cover that area very well. You will love this bike. It's fantastic. Very fast and powerful. Reliable. Head-turner. I get approached all the time with questions about it. I'm only selling it because the garage is packed tight and most days I'm running carpool or errands or doing something that requires a car. I will miss the bike a lot, but it deserves to be ridden and enjoyed. Bid away! On Apr-25-13 at 06:03:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Up for sale is a 2006 Triumph Scrambler. Also, an ebay commenter tells me that there is a kit to handle this issue, and it's easy to do on this model. You will love this bike. It's fantastic. Very fast and powerful. Reliable. Head-turner. On Apr-26-13 at 06:18:41 PDT, seller added the following information: To anyone confused about the two seemingly-identical descriptions of the bike listed above, my apologies. Please refer to the SECOND description, the one that begins with "On Apr-25-13 at 06:03:56 PDT, seller added the following information." Instead of clarifying two things in an update, I accidentally copied the entire description over again with the clarifications. The difference between the first and second descriptions is that the second description also contains:a clarification that the motorcycle cover does not fully cover both wheelsa note that any discoloration on the pipes is apparently easy to remedyThanks for your interest in the bike and sorry for any confusion. Jack.
