Vehicle Detail
This Auction is for a 1973 Ford Mach 1 Mustang H code factory Ram air car with A/C. The car has the 351 engine, automatic trans with console shift, rear fold down seats, dual exhaust, rear dual exhaust valence. The factory A/C compressor and plumbing are still there. Has the gauge pack option. Has spoiler. Car starts, engine runs, no knock or hammer. Moves under its own power. Have key but have to use jump wire to start due, dirty fuses, terminals and connections, plan on going over all of it. May have posi rear. Code tag says locker rear, but when I drove across field and stepped on it, both tires seemed to spin, so I'm not sure. Master cylinder leaks, brakes fade. The body, doors, hood and trunk lid have typical rust spots here and there. Rockers look pretty good. Both rear floor pans and trunk have typical areas of rust, right rear pan you can see hole. The front floor pans look decent and seem mostly intact you can stomp on them. Roof looks in good shape. Headliner old and its seams hang. Front shock towers are surprisingly decent. Left front frame has rust particularly around steering box mount. Figure on replacing it. For the $150 another rail can cost it is worth it rather than doing it half. The car has the NASA hood and is a factory Ram air car, internal mechanism is removed. The previous owner put a Motorcraft 4 barrel and Ford cast iron intake on it . While the car runs, it has been parked for years, it is an antique. The car is being sold As-Is Where-is for restoration. It may have signs of and or wear, tear, fade, rust, age, weathering and may require repair, service, replacement, maintenance, of any and or all components. If you been looking for a 73 Mach 1 to restore here is one you can afford. Most of the ones you find for this kind of money are missing things like the engine or trans, or have been ripped apart with the interior gutted by someone with big plans to restore it, only to have half its stuff lost. Not this one. The car also has the original space saver spare tire that appears to never been inflated and still has the nipples and identification stamp on it. I try to price things very reasonable as most things usually sold via (Buy it Now) within a short time of the auction being listed. Good luck bidding! Please contact me if you have any questions before bidding. And yes, it does look like Eleanor from the original Gone In 60 Seconds!
