Up for auction is a solid 1968 Dodge D100 Custom Cab pickup truck. The truck has new tires and a rebuilt carburetor. It starts right up and runs pretty well, but it does smoke a bit on start-up after sitting a while, so I would imagine it needs valve guide seals. The transmission works fine. The tires, shocks, and engine hoses are new. I've only driven the truck around town for short distances in the time I've owned it, so I can't speak to how well it does out on the road. The body is fairly solid, with some minor surface rust and a bit of rust through at the bottom of the tailgate. It also has a dent in the left rear of the bed that someone tried to pull out and did a poor job. The floors look solid based on what I can see underneath, as are the step wells inside the doors. The body color is light blue with black on the roof, which was originally stippled to resemble vinyl. Options include power steering, heavy duty gauge package with tachometer (only available on 383 V8 models like this one), automatic, and originally a/c. The a/c compressor and condenser are still mounted, but the evaporator under the dash is gone. Overall, this would make a very nice restoration project. Please contact me with any questions.
