For Sale is my very nice 1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200 S. This is a lot of bike for the money, and is very fast. Please no beginning riders. It is likely too much bike for a beginner. Here is a list of recent service items performed in the last couple of years: Carbs tuned and cleaned, last summer. Runs Great! At the same time, I cleaned out the tank and gel coated it due to some previous issues related to ethanol gas. New touring tires with aproximately 90% tread left. Changed about 2 years ago. I have other bikes that I ride also, so I didn't put a lot of miles on last year. New Brake pads. About 3000 miles ago. Still in really good shape. 80-90% left. New Chain and Sprockets. (originally equiped with 15 tooth front and 45 tooth rear) Now has new 520 high strength chain and sprockets with 13 tooth front and 47 tooth rear. Oil changed at the end of the riding season last summer, good for another 2800 miles. New fuel petcock replaced while gel-coating the tank last summer. New choke cable. New battery 2 years ago, still holds a good charge. I have a battery tender lead attached. You can provide your own battery tender charger as I have several bikes and rotate mine depending on what I want to ride. Dale Walker jet kit last summer. Also has Dale Walker 5 degree timing advance kit. Has K&N high flow filters, stock air box has been removed. Throttle lock for longer trips. I repainted the bike in 2006 and added the lower skins after a minor accident that broke the upper fairing plastics. The paint is not professionally done, but, I think it still looks very good for the model and year of the bike. I also clear coated over the decals to keep them looking sharp. There isn't much more to say except I wouldn't think twice about getting on this bike and driving across the country exactly as it sits. I also have a higher touring windshield and the tank bag pictured that I will let go with the bike if wanted. This bike has a more relaxed riding position than the full on sports bikes. With the current mods you'll be able to keep up with almost anything in a straight line, however it handles a little heavy in curves compared to the smaller lighter sports bikes. All that being said, if you are looking for a dependable good running bike that is a bit more comfortable than a sports bike this would be a good choice. I don't think anyone would be dissapponted by this bike. If you get here and decide it is less than I have stated then I won't hold you to the deal. The only issues I can think of that need to be addressed are the seat lock doesn't operate by the key because it broke, and I would recommend flushing the brake and clutch lines with fresh fluid during this riding season. As I said I would drive it anywhere as it sits, but, I want to ensure that I let any prospective buyer know of any item to be addressed. I would prefer not to ship the bike, but, if that is needed I will try to work with the buyer provided all payments for the bike are made and any shipping charges will be paid by the buyer.
