Thank you for stopping by to look at my 1992 Toyota Pickup. There are some very nice things about this truck. There are also a few things to be addressed. I will be as descriptive as possible. I have receipts for most all the work done on the truck and will give them to you upon purchase. Please ask all questions early and if needed we can arrange a test drive. The good: The engine has been rebuilt and has only about 5,000 on it. It does not leak or smoke and starts, idles and accelerates properly. New heater core was installed when engine was rebuilt. New Timing belt, cover gasket, idler arm pulley tensioner. Brake system has been maintained and brakes are in very good shape. Calipers and rotors have been replaced on the front. Cooling fan bearing replaced. Shocks have been replaced. Parking break works well. Body work and paint job was professionally done three and a half years ago. The frame is in great shape with very little surface rust. All service work has been kept up and done by a local garage. Tires are in pretty good shape with about 70% tread on the rear and 50% on the front. One tire has a rubbed spot on it but does not affect it. It has one ton coil overload springs on the rear. Four wheel drive system works well and hubs move freely. Nice Pendaliner bed liner. Bed has also been coated with paint on bed liner. Stereo works well, CD, mp3 and 3.5 mm front input. Also has remote (battery needed). I am including the original AM/FM radio and tape deck. Issues to be mentioned: -There are the normal cosmetic dents and dings and I have tried to show all spots that have issues. See pictures. -Tailgate has a couple of scratches near the top and one small dent near the bottom, both near the middle. -Only rust spots on the body I can find are behind the rear wheels and have pictures of each. -Bumpers both have minor rust spots and rear has two dings. -Original seats have a tear in the driver seat. The seat covers that are currently on them cover all tears. -Carpet on the floors shows wear and has some staining Worst in the rear passenger Floor board. Mats would cover all the stains though. The mileage on the odometer is incorrect. It shows 149,536 but I have seen a car report on this truck and this is not accurate. I do not know how many miles the truck has on it and would hate to speculate. Someone ,between 2001 and when I purchased the truck from Taylorsville Auto in North Carolina in 2009, must have turned the odometer back. There is a chance that this mileage is proper and there was a typo at a DMV office in NC at some point and it looks like it was turned back. Only mechanical issue the truck has is faulty shift solenoids. I will try my best to describe. When pulling out from a stop, you must shift into low. The truck will be in second gear at this point and will pull out well. You can then shift into drive and the truck will shift between third and fourth as normal. The only way I have been able to get it to shift into first is just when as you are about to come to a stop (5 mph or so) ,shift from drive into low. It will hit first every time. The transmission DOES NOT SLIP! The only parts need replaced are the solenoids. Also of note. The AC does not work currently. I had all the seals replaced and charged fully. After spending $250 to repair this, it stopped cooling after one month. The bright light switch will not work the brights. There is a dead spot on the switch. You can flash the brights, which will allow an inspection pass. The current Inspection Sticker is for the State of VA, it is good until June 2013. All signals and other lights work well. Heater works well and horn honks. Please ask all questions early and I will try my very best to answer fully. The buyer will need to contact me within 48 hours of auction close to arrange pickup or the item will be relisted .The Truck will need to be picked up within two weeks of auction end.
