Vehicle Detail
Offered for auction at NO RESERVE pricing is our 2005 Ford XLT Escape. Note that this is a high-mileage vehicle (208,023), but they are mostly highway miles as this Escape was my wife’s work car in which she traveled long distances almost daily. We are the original owners, non-smoking and no pets. The car has had regular maintenance and is a dependable good running vehicle. Notable features include; leather seats, multi-disc CD player, cruise control, and sport package/color combo with roof rack system, running boards, towing package, and alloy wheels. This 2005 Ford Escape XLT has a sharp exterior design and a clean gray interior. Know that the vehicle paint has numerous fine scratches with wear and tear typical of a vehicle this age and mileage. There is no visible rust, except under the rear hatch I noticed some rust, but even that was not unusual or concerning. This car has been garage kept in the winter only. There is one noticable “ding” on the rear hatch to the right of the Ford emblem (someone backed into it at Menards and took off). There is also a crack near the front grill to the left of the Ford emblem. Both of these defects are visible in the photographs. The front windshield is cracked, but I am having it professionally replaced this week, so nothing to worry about there. The last significant maintenance we had done was to replace the alternator and to have a brake line replaced. Everything on this vehicle is in good working order. The front-end is in alignment, The engine is a V6, 3.0L….and runs great. Brakes are fine. Transmission is fine. Tires are all the same make and model (purchased new in May, 2010). The roof rack system is quite functional.....it can easily be used to haul a canoe or kayaks on top and the fold out feature on the rear is for mounting bicycles, although you need to purchase some accessory attachments for doing that (car did not come with those). This Ford Escape will make for a good second family vehicle or a safe dependable vehicle for the new teen-aged driver. Good luck bidding. If you have any questions, just drop me an email. Thanks for your consideration.
