I bought this bike in 1980 with 21180 miles on it. I think I'm the third owner. I have kept service records on the bike and recorded everything that has ever been done to it in the last 33 years. Through the years all necessary maintenance and repairs have been done, everything has been gone through but the bottom end. It sat form 2004 till 2012 when I went through the engine putting in new valves, guides, rings and all engine seals. The clutch, and rear end splines, have been replaced in the last year. It has two new period style tires, repacked wheel bearings. The trans was rebuilt in the the late 1980's. It got new paint and stripes and a seat cover last year too. It's tuned serviced and ready to roll for another 40 years. It has period style Craven bags that are not restored and have some scuffs. It is mostly stock but there are alot of updates, This was the first year for the ?5 and they had some problems. The stock black label carbs were not good So I have later /6 carbs on it. They came with a 180 watt alternator that was marginal so it has a /6 280 watt alt. and a modern diode board and regulator. I have points in it but I have a Dyna system here that I can include if you want it. It has Stainless Steel reproductions of the original style mufflers and a heavy duty Brown side stand and I'll include the stock one too for a restoration. I'm centrally located on the east coast in South Western Virginia on the Blue Ridge Parkway about 50 miles south of Roanoke, You can pick the bike up and pay the remaining amount due in cash.
