Vehicle Detail
Bought the vehicle in January of 2002 with 95057 miles on it. Attached a Blue-Ox compatible base plate and been towing it all over the USA with our Winnebago that has tripped 115000 miles. Never had any problem and never got stranded with the GEO. Engine runs strong and shifting is smooth in all five gears. Does not smoke. A/C works fine after getting it repaired (bad O ring at compressor fitting). Have spare belts in trunk. Radio works but LCD display is hard to read, one of four speakers work (probably loose connections). Door paneling loose from frame at speakers. Several holes in drivers side carpet as well as several shrink-cracks on dash padding (see pictures). Check air bag light is lit. Small hole in the red plastic stripe in the back. I wanted to replace the top, so the old top is off, but it has been to cold to properly fit the new top, so it is in the trunk along with copied factory book instructions. If we get a warm (75+deg.) day and sunshine, I may put the new top on unless it is bought first. Could deliver car on dolly or behind RV for $0.50/mi prepaid if not to fahr away. I will miss this very light and reliable TOAD that never had auxiliary breaking installed because of its light empty weight of only 1700 lbs. My gas milage was hardly affected while towing it behind my RV. My dear wife needed higher seating, so we replaced it with a manual 2013 Chevy Spark 2LT at 2200 lbs.On Apr-04-13 at 02:39:06 PDT, seller added the following information: GEO odometer accumulates all miles while unter tow.On Apr-08-13 at 13:33:10 PDT, seller added the following information: The top is out of the trunk and on the car roof. We had a few nice and warm sunny days that made it possible. Several questions came up, so there is about 7/32 of tread on the tires (see picture), There is no obvious rust, it lived in trhe south where mostly sand is used, there a several small spots on the hood where the clear coat is missing (see picture) but the rest is still original and OK, The tow plate is held on with nuts/bolts and epoxy between mating surfaces used for towing the car down the assembly line, I do not recommend it for a daily 80 mi commute because the convertible top makes it noisy and truck tires seem higher than my head, the license plate must stay with me, but yo will have a SC bill of sale along with a clear title, by using the VIN at your insurance agent and getting proof of insurance, it is probably permitted for you tyo drive the car without a plate for a few days. Check with your DMV to make sure, since we owned it, about 90% of the accumulated milage is from towing.
