Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1996 Honda VFR Interceptor 750. I have thoroughly loved having this motorcycle but with a 13 month old and another on the way I just no longer find time to ride it. I have had the bike since April of 2009, and I have put approximately 6,000 of the just under 58,600 miles on the bike. I have always been good about keeping up with the maintenance, which has all been done by a close friend who is a certified Honda mechanic. This bike is clean, fast, and ready to ride. A video of the bike being started from cold (it was about 50 here in sunny Cleveland) and allowed to warm up to where I could turn the choke down can be seen in the link at the bottom of this listing. The bike simply runs excellent. I have had absolutely no issues with the bike, performing only routine maintenance, such as: - Fork Seals (2011) - New Battery (2012) - New Tires (2011, approximately 900 miles on them) - Oil Changes every year but this one - Spark plugs and cap (2010) - Replaced seat (used) Everything on this bike works as it should- gauges, lights, signals, etc. I have never had the bike down, and the previous owner claimed the same thing, however, there is some minor damage (scuffs, small cracks) to the bike on both sides. I am guessing the original owner dropped it on the right side (not moving) but I am just speculating. The worst of this by far is the right side where the two fairing panels come together. There is a picture specific to this damage to see detail. Overall, considering this is a 17 year old bike, the plastic is really in pretty decent shape. The bike is listed as a “sport touring”, so it potentially can save you some money on your insurance and the seat sits a little more straight up, but don’t be fooled by the “touring” label- it was factory rated at 100 hp on 748 cc. Other than the exhaust, the bike is stock. Since I will no longer own a motorcycle I am also including the following accessories as part of the deal: - - Two jackets (Joe Rocket , size XL, Yoshimura, size L) - - Two helmets (Scorpion, size XL, HBC, size S) and two extra visors for Scorpion helmet - - Rally pack bag for gas tank and gloves The bike is in Lakewood (Cleveland), OH. It is listed for local pickup only, however, if you are interested in buying it and absolutely do not have a way to get it I will consider delivering up to 150 mile radius for an additional fee. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the bike is also listed for sale locally.http://youtu.be/PN9ENpIpdaQ
