Vehicle Detail

1989 Saab 900S 5speed, Sunroof, Complete car for Parts are for Restoration. I estimate it has 220k miles on the body. The car has some body rot in the lower A frame area of the body, very fixable and common for these cars. There are also a few small rot areas near the rear of the car, but not bad. The car looks pretty good overall. Doors and rear hatch are excellent and the hood is descent with a few paint bubbles on the leading edge. The front bumper is a SPG bumper fitted to the car. Interior looks pretty good, usual dash cracks but the interior is not trashed. Good door panels and cloth seats have no rips. No headliner but I have new material I bought from World Parts. Car has been sitting for 10 months, I bet with a charged battery, it will start, I have not tried. The car should be towed, but it drove pretty well when parked 10 months ago. Over the last 2 years, I invested much money into this car, so it has many new parts and a partially rebuilt motor- 10k miles after the motor and transmission was re-assembled and installed, the cylinder head blew and the steering rack blew. The cylinder head starting leaking water, compression was fine. I believe it was due to a poorly calibrated torque wrench when the head was assembled- the motor had new bearings and timing chains and tensioners. An extra 180k mile cylinder head is included. The car has been off the road for 10 months, and the registration is ran out. List of new parts over the last 2 years- Complete exhaust front to back including cat, Ignition Switch!, Tires, front axels, New clutch kit including both slave cylinders and lines. Front Shocks, Brakes, Fuel pump and filter, timing chains and tensioners, water pump, Both front wheel bearings 2 years ago, Windshield, Alternator brush pack, shocks, new headliner material never installed, in-tank fuel pump, and some other parts. The 5 speed transmission is in excellent working order- shifts perfectly and smoothly. Including extra parts- included is a cylinder head in excellent condition with aqbout 150k miles. Car should be towed due to the blown steering rack. This is a Low Reserve Auction for a great car with lots of potential for restoration or parts.
