You are looking at the cleanest XR650R you are going to find. The only way to find one any better is to buy it new and they don't make these anymore. This bike is very hard to find in this condition. Most of the models you find will be abused because they were built for it. This is a true work horse. I bought it thinking I was going to prepare it for the Baja and never did. This bike is all stock except for the air filter and a Moose Racing Tube Kit. I bought it from a guy in Arizona and he rode it a short distance thru a neighborhood back and forth to work for a short time. From our conversation I would say this bike has less than 300 original miles. There are very small chips in both tank decals from the plastic knee protecters in my race pants and that is the only flaw I can honestly find on the whole machine. When I bought it, it had been very well preserved and maintained. I only rode it 2 or 3 different times and it ran awesome. The motor is tight and pulls hard, the gears shift smooth and clean, and the suspension is set up for 190 lbs. This XR is as close to a floor model as they come. I worked and raced for Honda for many years and know exactly what to look and listen for when purchasing and selling a dirt bike. As you can see, it still has the yellow assembly paint on certain bolts the factory uses after torquing. This thing has been babied, well maintained, and garaged kept all its life. I really hope this bike goes to someone who will really take care of it and keep it as clean as it is or to someone who will really put it to work and ride it the way it was intended. Either way, these bikes were built for stout and are by far the most reliable machines ever made. I recently went through the carb and tuned it up, it starts on the first or second kick every time and is ready to blast the trails. I have a clear title, owner's manual, fork travel bar, extra front sprocket and oil filter for it.
