All it took was one welching bidder to wreck the last auction so here we go again. I purchased this 1969 Camaro convertible in 1995. The frame-off restoration was completed in 2001. Most all body panels and parts were replaced with original GM parts. Many other parts have been replaced and upgrades made since that time. The engine and transmission were replaced with new GM crate products 1200 miles ago. Many connecting parts, such as the complete clutch assembly, intake, carburator, and distributor, as well as many other parts were also replaced or upgraded at that time.This Camaro is a very clean , structurely sound, well perserved restoreration. It is in excellent mechanical condition throughout.It steers, shifts, runs and handles very well. It has disc brakes on the front and drum on the rear, and is equiped with power steering.The engine compartment and trunk are in excellent condition. The very glossy black paint job shows the normal wear and tear that comes with one that is 12 years old, but it still looks very good. This Camaro, while still a used car, is one that who ever gets it is going to be very pleased and happy with. This Camaro is equiped with the following factory options: 4 speed transmission, console with factory instrument cluster, multi-leaf rear springs, in dash factory tach, cowl induction air system, ralley wheels, and rear bumper guards. The following up grades were installed as technology caught up to this Camaro: 350 cu. in. four bolt main engine, Coleman headers and California Turbo mufflers, old style starter replaced by mini high torque style that doesn't over heat, less efficent rochester 4 barrel with a new Edelbrock and matching intake manifold, original points and condenser distributor upgraded to new HEI, Hurst competition plus shifter replaced the factory Muncie. These modifacations were done to improve the duribility, efficentcy and safety of the vehicle and boy did they!!!
